  4. Hey Meenie! Not many Smilers. Must be the weather. I know what you mean ... been 2 degrees for the last 3 mornings.. However... you need to put that smile back on your face ... the weather is going to get warmer this week, which means my winter tyres can stay off a little bit longer
  5. I'm a happy bunny normally on a Friday morning... last day of work. . But I beamed like a cheshire cat that Friday! Following me along the A169 was a P Reg Tropicana. (Those who know me know I had one for 11 years). However, this one has a history... for the last 2 years it's been parked up being repaired. I flied the owner a year ago and he joined the site as a visitor. I spotted his dad working on it a month ago, and gave him my spare paint... It was a joy to see it back on the road again after been stood for so long... The only down side. . I couldn't give him the thumbs up.. was in Ruby (no sunroof) not Blu lol
  6. Blu's developed the dreaded rusting on bottom off Gen 6 doors (due to previous owners not checking that the drain holes were blocked) Been looking at the follow, and wondered if any one has used them in the past... and has the doors stayed rust free... rust remover http://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-treatments/deox-gel top coat prior to paint http://www.bilthamber.com/corrosion-treatments/hydrate-80 i'd take the door card off and do it inside too if you can see rust if not just use the cavity wax Or if you can get it totally rust free which in the area it is i doubt it: http://www.bilthamber.com/paints-and-coatings/electrox cavity wax http://www.bilthamber.com/cavity-waxes/dynax-s50
  7. I've decided not to Sorn this year. Running both cars on multi insurance, and have put another 6 months tax on Blu. Last year I had problems with my daily drive and having the old boy on the road as back up, came in handy.
  8. I flash at all celicas and stilos - depending on which car i'm driving - I'm not fussy Noticed a few of you are from around York...I've put a small gang together in Malton/Pickering for Drive and Dine - last Thurs night went to Blakely Ridge for tea - 1 Gen 6, 2 Gen 7s and we let a 3L Calibra join in the fun lol. Are any of you interested in joining us?
  9. l think the plod are iust gunning for Gen 6 Trops and Aquas... been followed twice now in 5 days. Thurs night in Pickering, Saturday on A64. Maybe he's angling for a date, or just likes my bum lol
  10. Been a site member for over a year ... rode my 1.8 St ('96) for 11 yrs (wrote her off last year), now in a GT ('94)...
  11. Happy Anniversary The Blue Meenie!

  12. Have you managed to get me some head light clips yet????
  13. arrrh ... but is the street light amber or white??? Amber doesn't show up all the muck lol
  14. There's nothing wrong with us  we all do it .... Had been on an Up & Down Dale drive with the vintage guys and got filthy, mud caked every where.. Came home.. looked at the car.. sulked ... and decided to wash him ... mid way through soaping, the heavens opened.... Came in, put on my wellies and rain mac (the floor length one i use for concerts) and carried on - Villagers thought i was bonkers ... Though I did finish the dry and polish off in the garage ... had to keep running out to set off the security light so I could see what i was doing
  15. I'm sad I like it .... it's a 'girlie' colour ... and I like 'girlie' colours :D
  16. Why have I taken on another project .... sensors and comps should be banded from all motors!

  17. Could be seduced by buying a steamer ... but worried that all that muck under the bonnet is actually holding the glue together on my 17yr engine
  18. if the motor still works, then its quite easy to get a ariel mast fitted (which isn't Toyota). I've had 3 fitted on gen 6s, but i was lucky that the motors were fine. on STs cost me about £40 and on the GT £50.Just had them fitted at a local garage
  19. Glad you've now got sorted ... peace of mind at last... (and yeah ... Toads are loud lol)
  20. Both good and bad like above. Bought ST '96 in 2000 from Carcraft - brilliant car but clutch went in 1 month (spent £8000 on her in 11 years), replaced with '94 GT begining of year privately and already spent £2000, and expect another £3500 by end of December (car not been loved )
