  1. Taxed, reconnected battery after 6 months Sorn.. Started up first turn Moving was the challenge... Seize rear caliper (though left in gear., no hand brake).. after a lot of shunting, and a cut up driveway.. FREEDOM Still looks good for a 25 year old, and couldn't stop smiling as I blew away the cob webs..
  2. Dont have room to carry tools in Blu.. he's constantly packed to the hilt with a gazebo, flag, flag pole and stand, 2 banners, poles and 4 chairs... He's 24 years old, and (touch wood) never left me stranded (except in 2011 when the immobiliser was playing up) In the Bug, I carry spare bulbs, mini compressor, tyre pressure checker, power pack, hi vis, screen wash etc... (and more in winter)... This weekend came in handy, as a reversing bulb blew and had a flat tyre.. fixed whilst waiting in car park
  3. Blu Wax oil double dip, fill with V power, disconnect battery and connect terminal guards. Fill with winter washer fluid. Cover and kiss him good night till April. Bug Swap tyres to winter, wax oil double dip, service and check levels. Load boot with extra bulbs, winter washer fluid, de-icer, scraper and starter power pack (last one.. to jump start others with poor batteries ).. When the white stuff arrives.. load the snow shoval, hiking boots and thermal gloves
  4. Just given flyers to a local gent our way, very rare to see this colour.. Hopefully he will join us at events next year ... Still trying to find the white GT4 ... He is being very elusive
  5. and looking gorgeous... have a brilliant day, looking forward to seeing the pics
  6. No, 16 years till the car's 40 lol. He's serviced, mot'd yearly and driven weekly (though no longer the commuter) .. and always will be don't mind paying for mots, as it's a way of making sure nothing is dropping off, seizing or rotten...
  7. 16 years for me.. but I think I'd still have it tested.. just to ensure that nothing was loose
  8. Well I hope the hype becomes reality.. The Celica line needs to be brought back to life in its own right
  9. Check out our vids under 'about me' of the drop down menu:thumbsup:

  10. Happy 5 Anniversary The Blue Meenie!

  11. Fletch unable to access Internet till late this afternoon, but texted back... "Yes you can, but fobs sometimes difficult to sync" recommends ringing a couple of local car alarm specialists or key cutters first to get prices and then purchase.. also local toyota for comparison. When I bought my '94 gen 6, I had no fobs and the immobiliser had a fault and failed to start, cut out at times.. I replaced the factory fit with a new complete Toad system. Though it was an expensive choice, I'm glad I did so... but I'm not planning to sell my car, I'll have mine till its end of life or rite off....
  12. Yes there should be two fobs attached, if your model has a factory fit alarm and immobiliser. Texting Fletch now...
  13. Hi Nicola When buying the car, did they supply you with two keys (one black and one grey) but no attached fobs? Will text Fletch in morning, as he has a black gen 6 vert and should be able to help you..
  14. That's more like it ... I get quite a bit less in the GT , but that's because I prefer B and C roads...
  15. Happy 4 Anniversary The Blue Meenie!

  16. I'm a 48year Financial Manager from Yorkshire, who loved banger racing, RAC and local rallies of the late 80s and 90s. Use to tinker on my black and white Capri - always loved long nosed and stumpy bottomed cars in funky colours (first car was metallic purple) in 2000 bought a 18ST Tropicana (Gen 6) which I had for 11years, and now driving an even older GT. Am I classed as middle aged?? to you youngsters maybe... but to me (and those in the club who know me) I am still a 20 year old at heart, and will still be riding in Gen 6s until I can no longer bend into them
  17. what Cat is as expensive as 2 sports tyres? A feline who brakes her teeth

  18. moan, moan, moan .. another sensor melt down!
