  1. If the goods aren't as advertised, that's trouble for the seller.
  2. Happy Anniversary dublet!

  3. No it wouldn't as with NA the engine has to suck the air through the sytem. The more effort this takes, the worse the car performs. It works well with FI as that is less of a concern with the compressor working to force air through.
  4. If you're not careful, you'll pull it outwards, so it becomes a bump instead of a dent.
  5. Mine has survived some battery outages.
  6. I doubt it, it should be stored on an EEPROM.
  7. Yes, and get a limited slip differential too.
  8. Mr T is actually cheap for batteries.
  9. Yeah but what sort of Luddite still uses lb ft?
  10. I'm actually being very helpful. Explaining to you as to why NA engines don't have inter coolers fitted as well as offering alternatives (e.g. water cooling). I have no problem with you or your topics, you just need a bit of realism about what your car is and what the options are. You're far from the first person to try and chase power. Nitrous oxide is a good idea as well, though you may explode your engine if you do so. I'm never wrong.
  11. Just double checked and I have 225/50R16 fitted to 16"x7.5J (the face life 6 spoke OEM alloys). It's 3% out compared to stock, but you can't get those any more.
  12. What you want is to turbo charge your engine but you don't want the cost. Another way of lowering the temperature of the inlet air is water injection. However, that also has a weight penalty in terms of needing to have a water reservoir on board, making any performance gains of that worth less. Given that almost every other topic of yours is "how do I get more power from my Beams", I don't think you're content with the car at all but hey ho.
  13. Great idea. Though the NA engine wouldn't suck much air though it. Maybe if you had some sort of compressor that could force the air through the intercooler. But then you have to drive that compressor somehow. Perhaps you could do this by harnessing the exhaust fumes somehow, perhaps like a device with two blades connected via a common shaft.
  14. Yes, 55 I think, though can't remember off the top of my head. See my faff thread.
  15. I think wider tyres are probably only really necessary once you start pushing 500 or more.
  16. You don't want to go too wide, it'll ruin the ride and cornering. My faff is on 225 wide tyres on 7.5J rims and only because they're cheaper than 215.
  17. At some stage some mod is going to turn up and burn this thread to ashes.
  18. He didn't want to be left in the larch, though didn't expect this thread to be so poplar. Though he'll be sycamore tree puns. All in all, it was a good chance to spruce up the car.
  19. Next purchase: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raphael-Mask-Ninja-Turtles-Prop-Replica-mutant-teenage-tmnt-movie-star-costume-/291125346208
