  1. Unless it's the skewer decal or the two on the rear windscreen, I can't see or think of what it could have been :/
  2. even if it is 117k in kilometers, that's still 72k in miles - which surely can't be considered "very very low"? Looks rough to me! Good luck to him selling
  3. if your missus wants to stick something in her mouth and suck on it there are other things that she could take advantage of that are a lot more environmentally friendly.
  4. when i'm done being a grandad on the motorway I usually bounce off the redline a few times. the sliproad leads onto a roundabout (which I obviously slow down for) then i floor it onto a national speed road where I hit the red a few times, then quickly pop up to 6th and cruise at 70mph
  5. "fuck no!" for the win! if you're gonna get addicted to something, it might as well be something worthwhile like crack.
  6. I would go with Paints4u too; used them a number of times from small touch-up jobs to larger, deep scratches and stone chips. Always been spot on with their colour matching if you put your colour code in
  7. No probs dude, doing my bit for us 140's I bought a grounding kit from groundingkits.co.uk and I'm not overly happy with it. The negative terminal cables was soldered on upside down so I had to improvise new grouding locations. Additionally the guide I got with it was for a 190 engine even though I asked for a 140. The pic was a bit blurred and not very obvious where to put the grounds. If I was gonna buy again I would definitely buy from someone like custom ice. Yes it might be a bit more pricey than other places, but I don't hear people complain about rt performances prices compared to those on eBay as he does top quality stuff. You get what you pay for
  8. what about spacers? could get a decent set of 7 or 7.5 rims and fill 'em out with some hubs? they wouldn't be hiding in the wheel arches then OR how about blackcircles.com? did a quick search on there and found a load of tyres with 225/40/18 starting from £100?
  9. mate you should have busted it earlier; i'd of sent up a handful of clips to you with your SRI!! doooooh
  10. all done for you - that's us 1zz owners taken care of (someone needs to look out for us haha!) I got loads of grounding location pics and measured the cable lengths for you. Email sent to the 'sales' email as above. if there's anything else you want me to check for you just let me know! FYI - if anyone has a ground wire kit already let me know and I'll send you my locations document to help you with some half-decent locations
  11. I do around 200 in a week, its my only car so I use it to drive to work which is 17 miles away! comes in at around £40 a week on fuel
  12. I've got a kit on my 140 - I'll do the same for us 1zz chappies!
  13. lol yeah I spoke to some dudes at the Bluewater meet and they say lift isn't enough for them now! However going from no lift to lift will keep me grinning for a while good luck with your interview next week mate sounds like a supercharger is being hinted at! wish i could ask for double my salary! I'd be muckin' finted!
  14. When I passed I spent my student loan on a 1.4 CityRover After 3 months some woman crashed into the back of me and I drove a 1.9 TDI Golf for 2 weeks Got back in the ShittyRover and hated it. No power, no boost, nothing. Everything was crap now I'd driven a new Golf. So after 9 more months of h-a-t-i-n-g the CityRover I PX'ed my motor for a Fiat Grande Punto, 1.9 MJet Sporting. Great little car once it had finished breaking (wing mirror fell off, battery failed, front bumper caught fire, the turbo failed, got a flat tyre, buckled an alloy on a pot hole...) all within 3 months of owning it But then I got bored after 9 more months and wanted something sleeker and sexier. Now I got my 1zz Celica Although I will probably get bored of the 1zz and get either a conversion or PX it for a 190 in 6 months time when I have another year's NCB under my belt. The lack of engine oomph in the 140 is the only niggle I have.
  15. I dont need one (bought a Grounding Kits UK one) but if anybody has some pics of decent grounding locations for a 1zz I'd be grateful.
  16. um... that's a bit excessive mate
  17. I bought a kit from Pete towards the end of last year. There was a massive delay on them and he told me via email that it was 'cos he was really ill. I eventually got them however, and have fitted them. Although I had to guess the best grounding points - he sent me the 190 engine bay pic with a few circles dotted about which weren't very clear. If a GB does come of this, I'd only be interested in finding out where the best grounds are on a 140
  18. I would buy those just to beat the crap out of the dude who painted them that way.
  19. 33.43mpg on my 140 Gen7 with around 70/30 motorway/town driving. Hoping it'll go up a bit after it's service and new front tyres
  20. i signed up early Jan too and got an email which states the last two posts packs sent once a month so expect them towards the end of the month! However, i got impatient and got in touch with Mook who set me up with a pair of horned CCUK stickers. two days after sending mook payment I whacked them on my motor! a very speedy purchase. Now I'm representin' mah crew, yo
  21. to mention further, this is because the Celica's ECU is "locked", which means it cannot be reprogrammed/remapped/flashed. I'm unsure of the older generations as I'm speaking from a Gen7 standpoint. the only way to remap your ECU is to purchase an after-market piggy-back or standalone solution such as an Apexi PowerFC or AEM Engine Management System (EMS) which will ultimately replace the Celica's stock ECU. Additionally, as mentioned above by joe588, naturally aspirated cars (i.e. cars without a turbo or supercharger) are harder to get big gains from while cars running forced induction (turbo & supercharged) are a lot easier to get significantly larger gains from, but ultimately the power you gain is limited by the quality and strength of the components in your car's engine. I hope this helps.
