  3. Can recommend a place here in Yeovil. I have had cam covers and motorcycle parts done by them. Wheels are £40 each for powder coating. Also there is a place in Fareham called the wheel specialist. Chap there Vernon can do chrome finishing aswell.
  4. We have an automotive paint specialist in here in Yeovil. If you want me to pop in and ask, send me a pm and I'll go find out. Is powder coating an option?
  5. A similsr thing happened when I was driving our old zafira. The road was quite narrow and I was stationary while this cockface smashed my wing mirror off with his own Picasso wing mirror driving past. Told the rozzers and had to produce my documents. Everything was there except the MOT certificate, which incidentially is all online and can be checked so printed off the page. Then got told off because I didn't produce a valid cetificate. So if anybody sees a Citroen Picasso reg GF06 VYY let me know. Would love to have a chat with the owner. Report it to your insurance company and let them chase it. It'll be easier for them with the data base they can look at. Go get the fucker.
  6. I may have one you can have for the cost of postage. I'll dig it out and look at the range for you. I'll test it at work on the meter before I send it so it is tested for you as well. I'm living out of boxes at the mo because of the house move so will need a few days to sort it if you want it.
  7. I've used some of that BG44k and I have noticed better mileage and responsiveness. I'll give her a good service and wait till next year.
  8. Went in for MOT yesterday. And got another big fat pass. Nil advisories, but was very close to the emissions limit. Might do the service before the MOT next time.
  9. checked ebay, best price, £23.98. so i made an account on the website above and checked the prices £23.95 posted. but i noticed something else, as well as the 10% club discount, there is lso a 6% discount if you order 8 or more. playing with the checkout system, i have worked out that that gets them 8 for 144.31 including postage, that'd be £18.04 each. would imagine a single postage would be about £2, so what if we could get them for £20 each posted as a simple group buy that someone, (me, if agreed) could manage? what it would mean is 8 people sign up and pay £20, i order 8 sent to me, and then i send them out to you individually. job done. 1. simonwref 2. s_pid (stu) 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

  12. Last time I was down there was 99. We had disembarked from the ship with our Lynx. We had also made some sledges from drip trays and went off in the landrover to find the best hills. There are a few too choose from down there. Just watch the rocks!!!!!!
  13. Hey folks, a while ago I saw a post (can't find it now) about having your car off the road and having to insure it. So to help and clarify I pulled this from the Citizens Advice Website. "All vehicles kept off-road must be insured - In EnglandNew rules mean it's now an offence to keep a vehicle off a public road without insurance. This applies even if your vehicle is parked in your driveway. If your vehicle appears to be uninsured, you will receive a letter telling you that you are uninsured. The letter will ask you either to: insure your vehicle or check your insurance company has correctly entered your insurance policy details on the Motor Insurers' Bureau database (MID). If you fail to insure your vehicle within a specified time, you face: a fixed penalty fine of £100, reduced to £50.00 if you pay early having your vehicle clamped, seized and destroyed being taken to court. The new rules apply to most vehicles. However, you won't have to insure your vehicle if: you have a valid Statutory Off Road Notice (SORN) or your vehicle has been kept off a public road since before 1 February 1998 or your vehicle has been scrapped, stolen or exported and you have notified the relevant authorities. For more information about what to do as a vehicle keeper, how to check the MIB database and how to apply for a SORN, go to the DirectGov website at: www.direct.gov.uk. For more information, see our Motor Insurance factsheet." If anyone knows where the old post is feel free to add it in there.
