  1. Happy Anniversary shocks!

  2. do not use a silicone based sealer it will react with any painted finish, tiger seal or a like product.
  3. thats like it, that way it gives it a little protection from stone chipping, its that or if you sand then stone chip the edge and then re paint in the colour of car that way it will give it a little further protection and keep it hidden.
  4. if Mr t does not sell edge trim liners head over to honda and get them for a civic it fits just the same and it can come off as its black rubber.
  5. er no, never heard of it and i for one would never do it. i flushed an engine once and it did it no favours, now i just run half a litre through at time of oil change it picks up a few bits of extra crap if i have any sitting in the sump.
  6. I would have hold on to it had I seen this post but didn't till now....... And it seems like your not good at waiting long for replies. Oh well offer is there if needed. May be a tad to late but I'm easy going enough to help out.
  7. I have wolfrace fitted i cant recall the name/model of the top of my head, but they where a lite version, look good and had no issues with them at all.
  8. 28/08/2010 car was bought but with all work done on it only driven it for just under a year now. No longer feeling the joy as its currently a daily driver so gets used to much and not finished how I wanted it to be.
  9. I've had this its bloody annoying and have shown Kent struts the problem, its the plastic catching on the body lid where it bolts to he boot, plastic gets warm and expands ever so slightly. The noise is terrible on mine. I shaved the plastic ever so slightly and it stopped it a little.
  10. If no rotary you can do it by hand just takes a little longer in effort but they will come up just take your time.
  11. Wet and dry using 1500 grit in a one way movement keeping the paper wet use a spray bottle with washing up and water in it then dry wipe down and go in to 2000 grit same as before one way motion then wash wipe and dry and then a compound like green 3m on a small green rotary polisher then move up to a polish and then hand glaze. Can get them up better than new in no time. Where you based in country ?
  12. Spotted 7 gen 7's on Sunday in and around Ely and soham and then a load more in Cambridge town centre, up that way a lot more these days as thinking of moving back that way, once everything's finished in Kent. Plenty of good places to have a meet and no hassle.
  13. seen loads often wave and i get stared at and then a different sort of sign is given.................... i dont know if they are saying my car needs a clean or its something else.
  14. these days it has become a chore, not feeling the car anymore, but its due to work and lack of time to get it finished, was toying with the idea of selling it as is but it wil get done, just with being back at work 24/7 and everything else going on the toy is just a thing that i can do without.
  15. thinners or fairy liquid, if its all in bits get it sand blasted and then painted.another good one is soda crystals with water make it really pasty and it works well or chuck it in the dish washer works really good and upsets the wife/girlfriend/mum depending who and how you live.
  16. gutted its a new toy and only used it a couple of times so far but not on trees lol
  17. I have a chain saw if you want................. or i could come and take the tree down one day when nobody is about.
  18. sell up and move up, if you have the money spare and you want to trade up and enjoy the next car level, for £10k you can get a good amount of car, a nice sleeper with tons of hp, Audi rs4 can be yours and they have tons of grunt. or go classic and get a 911. plenty of choice or stick with yours and get a bike for further fun.
  19. for the best possible job done try lepsoms based in gillingham or if you want them done quick time kelly who owns the business KDS across the road from them can offer the same service as he has further storage and so gets wheels done quicker. your going to pay £400 for a set of 5 though but its top notch. they check each rim for cracks buckles and what not much more than just painting them.
  20. just plug in the one off ebay into your ciggie socket that is about as simple plug and play you can get.
  21. best way to do that is by buying another charger that has a USB on it tom tom sells them or if you go to tesco's and buy a charger they are all now usb and then buy a extra lighter socket from hellfrauds and hard wire it behind normal lighter socket then feed the cable out of the small hole at the bottom of the centre consol near seat,
  22. any local hifi shops round your way? most will do it for about £80 for both sides, if your going to do it yourself you should go to hellfruads they do a roll for £30 which will do both windows, best way to do it is to cut it bigger first then spray the window with water and fairy liquid mixed in so it stays wet for long enough to trim it properly, need a sponge and a felt pusher to get it flat very sharp stanley blade and time, for the top part of the glass get a fine nail file, once its dried just light file over the edge. door card off so you can get tint below sight lines clean the window and de grease it as well so it bonds better, including the glass you cant see behind the panel.
  23. http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ all the info you will ever need to know.
  24. worth popping back in same time next week and see if you see the car, or if its local pop in most days or evenings, just in the hope you could find the car, i know its a PITA but you never know, might not even realised they did it, some drivers are so far out of whack they shouldnt be behind anything, other than bars. good luck with it though, its never nice.
  25. gutted for you, least you know who did it, got mine keyed again last night and it can only be a few people as car is now in a private car park, really gets ya when its done. want to bury them when i find out who it is.
