  1. ... yes that would do nicely - few flashes on and off!
  2. What colour is your car? I'll look out for you in Cheltenham!
  3. Love the photos - especially getting that fishing boat coming through the harbour walls! Whereabouts in Scotland?
  4. Definitely off-topic - this isn't Complete Drivel you know!
  5. !! No, thankfully, I'm not a funeral director! At least you didn't say was that one I ran over earlier - trying to hide the evidence!!
  6. Exhaust arrived to work - customers thought it was a wrapped body!
  7. Looks like it has just had a roll in the hay in that last photo!
  8. Thanks for the link - I've just had a look through. Loads of good pics to show progress!
  9. Yes, it makes the sofa look very elegant!
  10. Wow, that's amazing! That's 29 years of ownership for the TR! Can anyone beat this?
  11. I think you deserve half a point for lateral thinking and ingenuity!! But GreyRacer is the arbitrator on this - and he says NO!!
  12. You must be the winner so far - that's a long time! Tell us more! I'm not very good on early Gens so more info would be good. Have you got others too?
  13. I agree with Carla - and it was her challenge so her call! An excellent win! Looks to me as though the Gen 7 would make a good amphibious vehicle though.... Sorry but I'm not doing the next challenge - would be good to see one of you guys in the tennis skirt though! (A kilt is not a valid substitute!)
  14. ... as in squeaky clean or with a squeal of brakes?!
  15. I think it ought to be a nice steep concrete slip way with water lapping at the edges, with the car facing towards you! Means you have to back it down!!
  16. ... or if you've got an older car, you spend it to keep something you love on the road. I so very nearly sold my CS last year because of the work that was needed, but couldn't bring myself to do it at the last minute. I didn't want someone else to be driving my car and I certainly didn't want anyone stripping it out to kill it!
  17. It's a lovely photo - but I don't think that's quite what Carla had in mind when she said "next challenge is your car parked on a slip way where they launch boats ". I think the challenge still stands....
  18. Well done! I hope whoever does the next challenge has a good handbrake - otherwise it could be an unusual boat launch!! Ghoulie - it wasn't Southborne, outskirts of Cheltenham. Not sure what the queue of drivers behind me thought - possibly that I'd never seen a train before and just had to photograph it!
  19. Success at last! I knew I would be going over a train crossing today, so took camera. On my way, I was 10th in queue, so no view of train. On my way back, barriers coming down in front of me!! ...coming ... going ...almost gone! New challenge, a photo of your Celica with a plane in the background! Or has this been done?
  20. I've spent an embarrassingly large amount to pay other people to do everything to get it back on the road.... I won't ever sell it now!
  21. It always looks sad to see a Celica stripped out ...
