  6. Jus realized that bought 2 stickers from the shop when I got a tax disc holder, but I have never had a members card or stickers joined August 2011? Though my post is very unreliable so my have well been sent?
  7. Last week a friend of mine asked it I could come up on the weekend and have look at a Celica GT that was for sale in Carmarthenshire as he was desperate to part with his hard earned cash, so off I went meet up with him and drove down to see the car. Looked like a GT correct interior etc... But had 140 clocks and a 140 engine but the owner insisted it was a real GT even when I pointed this out to him. I personally like the fact he’s paying GT insurance
  8. I sold my T25 but could not find the log book anywhere, so had to pay for a replacement when it arrived the other day, thought right need to put this in a safe place. And what was in the safe place I had chosen, yep the original log book.
  9. its your lucky day, I live in Caerphilly and have a FedEx accout. They could drop them off down my unit in Caerphilly and I could post them onto you £6.50 + vat for upto 2 wheels or £9 + vat for 4 wheels...
  10. FedEx Is the best I sent over 1000 packages last year with not one getting damaged. But they can be expensive if you dont have a volume account.
  11. One thing to you need to conceder is that with the ECU on the 140 & 190 Gen 7 it has a standard fuelling learning curve if you change fuel the ECU takes time to adjust and adapt to the new fuel, because this change is slow you don’t see an immediate change in performance or it then goes unnoticed. If you change fuel let it mix around with what’s in the tank for a few miles then reset the ECU (discount the battery for 30 seconds – 1 min) then this will force the ECU to learn off your new tank of fuel and you will then fell the difference. Standard Fuel 95 RON V Power 98 RON See not the same?
  12. It does make a difference what fuel you use. If you have a higher octane fuel your car will pink knock less and the ECU wont retard the timing so often which will give you a better quality burn so better power and economy Simples...
  13. Got a used Green Cotton air filer if you want it Free + Postage, pain to fit as the rubber is quite thick, need to take air box out and fit the filter then replace the air box.
  14. Solar panels are ok, most only combat battery drain, for example on a boat where a fully charged battery may be left for mouths it will stop it from discharging due to cold conditions, but won’t actively charge the battery. Tested one my friend had and it only outputted 12v? Which is useless? Should be 12.6 – 12.8 for a holding charge. What I would do. Buy a good battery with a 5 year guarantee, top tip check the voltage of the battery before you buy it, as some company’s don’t maintain batteries correctly... 12.6 V +
  15. Won’t make any difference to your problem, capacitors are only deigned to soften the voltage drop were there is a sudden increase in demand i.e. if you have a amp and sub when the base kicks in there will be a sudden drop in the voltage supply because the battery and alternator cant react that quickly a capacitor discharges when this happens to help the voltage remain stable.
  16. Depends on why you want to use it, If it’s to “maintain” a good battery then they work very well in keeping your battery healthy; however if the battery has lost performance then it may not bring it back up. Basic rule for batteries don’t leave them flat (discharged) for example; if your battery goes completely flat and it’s left like that for some time then it will lose its charging capacity which under normally working conditions will only get worse. Some battery conditioners can still bring them back from the brink, but the “save a battery” is designed to maintain a good battery. To tell if a battery is damaged fully charge and leave disconnected for 24hours for the battery to settle and then read the voltage if it is below 12.6v then you have a problem. 12.6v + ok 12.4v – 12.6v up to 40% loss of efficiency 12.4v and below Replace battery
  17. I Used www.shiply.com When I had a Porsche 944 turbo moved over 180 miles cost £150, as the guy had to make the journey more or less empty when he dropped another car off...
  18. Just get some plastic wheel nut covers like the black cheap ones and pant them, then you can pull them off without damaging them to remove the wheels etc...
  19. Years back, I had a rover 420 GSI turbo; one night it developed a massive rough idle and misfire issue. The top comment made about the car was: “Nice car mate it sounds just like a Scooby” My Reply "Well actually No it’s F&*ked"
