    Is that inner sides of the rear tyres pal? The 7 has some pretty beefy neg camber on the rears (which is also slightly increased when lowered) so that's why they wear on the insides quicker. If you're buying 4 new tyres then rotate them front to back every few thousand miles to get a bit more even wear out of them.

    Mate have you phoned Toyota at all? With such a small item it may be worth ordering a couple & then asking if they'll bob them in the post for you. I was going to suggest Fensport to you, as they're only just over a quid but then they want a fiver to deliver them

    What's wrong with cheap short shifters, they do the job! Could be the linkage bushes that need replacing mate or the linkages themselves. Could be that the ball joint on the shifter needs greasing up or the cradle has come loose for whatever reason (doubt it though) It could, on the other hand, be box related. Synchro might be going, does it crunch? As mentioned, could just need an oil change. Plethora of possibilities unfortunately.

    They haven't overfilled then have they bud? What's your dipstick showing Rodney? I usually drain the old stuff, then run a few hundred ml of the new stuff through to get any dregs out & then fill.

    Yeah our kid's old Golf GTI had its filter at the front of the engine, so as soon as you popped it off, manky old oil would piss everywhere! Nice design VW Might be worth doing the gearbox oil whilst she's in the air as well mate, from memory you'll need a 24mm socket for that though.

    No need to change the sump plug mate, you can simply get a new washer from Toyota for about a quid. I'd go with the black filter as well, if you're doing regular oil changes then the filter should come off easy enough. Personally I don't think the built in nut is worth paying double for. I won't comment too much on oil though, as it's a can of worms I use Gulf competition 5w 40 though. See.... http://www.opieoils.co.uk/

    I bought mine on 47k with 8 service stamps! She's on 70 now & not had one in that time. BUT she's for keeps so it doesn't bother me personally, I'd much rather do the work myself using quality stuff. If you're going to be selling the car in a few year then it makes sense to keep the stamps going I suppose.
