    I have certainly had more newsletters and facebook updates on japfest this year and seen it advertised in numerous magazines so expect it will be the busiest one yet.

    I asked if he had a dyno for the 225bhp claim and got this response.. Hi ther, sorry no dyno however the trd is actually closer to 210bhp standard from factory and then a few of the mods I've put on it adds around 15-20bhp on to it, exhaust system, hks plugs and leads etc

    Do you a link to the ones recalled by argos as thats where i bought mine! edit: Just found it, will take it back for sure now!     Thats what i thought, even though it may not be thousands of miles, surely it is clocking the car. May need to improve my soldering skills so i know i can get it done in one day then!

    Hadnt even come across spree, just taking a quick look now, looks like he only does gen6 ones but if he is experienced at soldering, may drop him a pm and see if he is able to do the gen7 ones. Did you have to solder individual smt leds or is it easier on the gen6?

    I have a dial face and smt leds to fit to my gen7 but doubt i will be able to turn it around in one day. I use the car everyday, so just wondered; 1) is it ok to use the car with the dial cluster removed 2) will any mileage in the time when the dial cluster is removed be counted?

    Reason why i asked this is there is an impreza for sale not far from me at a garage called Moorelands with 30k which looks identical to one that was sold at the BCA super Saturday auction last weekend, there is a pic on a story about it on pistonheads where the numberplate has been obscured but sure it is VO05VKW which apparently had 90k on it. If anyone fancies doing some detective work to see if I am right, feel free, would be appreciated.

    Ah ok, dont have the MOTs, just seen it on the dealers site at the moment but it says it has 30k, is an 05 plate and has had 3 owners. Seems low mileage for 3 owners.

    Just wondered whats the best way to verify mileage other than paying £20 HPI check, or is that the only way? Obviously, I know looking through the old paperwork will do this, but just wanted to know if there was any way of doing a cheap check on database

    Agree that they look like old wolfrace rims but if you want a similar rim that fits the celica, how about Inovit Redlines... (cant upload pic at the moment as my photobucket isnt working but google it and you will see they are similar and very nice rims available in various colours)

    Wish I was closer to Bristol, that seems a great price. Have asked eurospec2000 near me if they can offer this, would rather take it somewhere that deals with jap / modified cars.

    When i was at uni, this happened once to literally every car on our road, probably about 30 cars, absolute c**ts, hope one day they get some serious pain inflicted on them

    That looks nothing like a celica....but i love it. Looks mental, bit like a monaro from the front, windows look a bit like a 6 series bmw too.

    My commute to work is 15 miles through b roads, and i probably hit lift a few times on each journey, more if i have to overtake stupid tractors

    Also, keep an eye on ebay, i got a set of part worn Toyo T1Rs with plenty of tread left for less than £100. Thats for all 4 and they are 18s. That is a great point, I am quite into cycling and although I dont think I have spent £40 on tyres, I wouldnt blink at spending £20-30 on a bike tyre.

    I agree with this entirely. Have been considering getting a new car for ages now but nothing really floats my boat, i want the power of an impreza but the looks of the gen 7 (i know the answer is obvious!) so at the moment, am thinking at how much it would cost for me to get a low mileage GT that i could then supercharge and keep for quite a few years to come.

    Usually fill it up, unless i am in a remote area and its an extra few pence than elsewhere, or if its not a BP, then i would just put enough to get me home so i can visit my usual BP and get the nectar points!
