  1. I know a great place izzy but its a bit of a drive for you google them though if your interested meerkat exhausts (i know stupid name) they used to do all of colin macraes systems and are responsible for the red mk2 escort that still gets used in the mcrae rally
  2. once your done with it im getting about £170 a ton just now in renfrew so if you can get a rolling shell minus all the plastic etc you will probably see around £120-£150 depending where it goes. some yards will even come collect it for a fee
  3. worth a pm to him at least for the nutts
  4. they are ubber rare, there is a guy on here called bodger who might have them off you if only for the wheel nutts mrsoundcraft had a set of 6 of these a few years ago with tyres and sold the 6 for around £60. they are rare but very marmite
  5. I have never had problems with lifting but the hexis stuff is very pliable and comes with good sticky backness. just make sure its proper heated up when you use it. and it should last
  6. just make sure its safe to drive and dont cook your engine, thats the last thing you want
  7. thats the problem with those nissan engines. they run amazing on factory settings but as soon as someone messes with it they throw the toys out the pram you still down on saturday with the mistress?
  8. 4 years this year and 3 years longer than i have ever kept a car before
  9. the beams I have had done a 15sec i think. my 3sge would take a week
  10. camskill is the site most people use as for mismatched tyres I would say its probably best to keep them all the same size
  11. lol number one imagining the ex wife driving to work in the track celica lol number two at the mazda, i remember you tellign me you didn't think it would last any longer lol number three at the fact a company still has an ST as a courtesy car feel for you though as now you will need to drive a celica everyday
  12. ehh mines is sick getting a heart transplant over the next few weeks though. real surprise was just how much grip the superstrut gives... i know for a fact the cornering speeds i was traveling at would have menat understeer and 4 wheel drifts on mac suspension next time i will be way faster
  13. think its the angle that the gen 7 bonnet sits at that attracts the stones gen 5 & 6 seem to get the stones on the front bumper more
  14. dont know about prices but i would say at least half the weight of a gen 7 bonnet
  15. Think what he means rich is just put up with the stone chips and buy something good for the car like a carbon bonnet or something seen invisible darks carbon bonnet at my place on sunday and its a very pretty bit of kit and weigh's nothing
  16. that would explain why the hood looked really good...possible that it had been changed before the last owner had a little bump. I was planning to buy it for last summer and fit a new nose and wing and eventually doors (the doors weren't that rusty but would have annoyed me)
  17. ehh i think this was for sale in glasgow late last summer with a magnatude of problems, sold on the ebay auction for just over my max bid of £400 I assume it was someone local and im waiting on it popping up for sale again but it needed o/s wing, front bumper & both doors had rust on them.....good news is that the roof was spotless and on the advert it showed all windows up and down
  18. doesn't look like it let me know how you get on with the battery though....also i deffo need to get south soon so as soon as its a good time for me and the other gent i will give you a ring
  19. st205 runs superstrut so different hubs, mr mojo's car is on mac suspension and would require machining to get them to fit, cost wise i would just go for the willwoods if i was still on mac
  20. I have also got a pair of these and compared weight with the twin pots i have and there is no real difference in weight (you will need spacers for your wheels though and mac struts require a lot of modification to fit GT4 brakes )
  21. from seeing your car on the track i would say all you need is some new tyres and the knocking bushes sorted at the rear, use the car as a road/track toy. generally speaking the gen 6 is so low and planted that the likelyhood of you going on your roof is pretty rare your will struggle to get more power out of it without hitting your budget contraints that stop you buying a second car but i have heard this car running and it sounds perfectly healthy to me
