  1. Take caliper off with carrier completly and then remove the bolt
  2. a weight has probably fallen off, take it back
  3. My brother-in-laws 02 530i M-sport (not m5) handled amazingly - and thats a huge tank of a car
  4. Ive had members 190s come in with hardly any oil in - these are old cars now - keep an eye on it regularly -esp if you are doing a long journey on the motorway
  5. Use yellow coloured hammerite underneath, makes it nice and bright when you work underneath it!
  6. if you buy a TT for 10 grand - after 5 years it will be worth 4 - you always loose money on a car ,,,, when you get bored of sc go for twin charge.....
  7. sc - when ive spoken to Se7en about fwd and 350bhp - he has said that its very usable and his mrs uses the 350bhp grey one every day, drop him a message and see if he can take you out for a spin
  8. Could be tensioner, 80-100k is about the life of the Aux belt. Get a torch and see if the rubber on the toothed side has started to crack
  9. 195/45/15 are way too small for the g6 - they will be lost under there and the gearing will be pretty poor too Id imagine
  10. You get 3 types - one where it doesnt matter which way you fit them, 2 - rotational with arrows, or 3 inside / outside - sounds like you have inside outside - so no rotation
  11. try one from an old pair of sunglasses?
  12. Just started using my silverline one, clay barred by hand first and then a polish, quite impressed with results, will get some pics up tomorrow.
  13. Nothing in the MOT to check the condition of the spare - hear this quote a lot but its not true. Some new Seats, vauxhalls dont have run-flats or come with a spare, they have a space in the boot for one though - would the AA refuse to tow on them? Gen7 imports come with 16" space savers - have a few available - shocks will keep a smaller import screw in the car and ping you next time Im in Kent
  14. Have a few lagoon blue doors, £45 collected for bare door or £60 with window, motor, lock actuator etc (everything but lock and handle)
  15. not worth saving im afraid - was umming and arring over this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260915388093?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
  16. Ive used tar and spot remover before - but test that it doesnt discolour anything - smells a bit like petrol so maybe try that too (test somewhere 1st)
  17. spare wheel and front fogs lights are not part of the test ABS to be tested properly - the bulb should come on with ignition, illuminate for a number of seconds and then turn off - depends on if your tester spots that you have an ABS pump though!
  18. 180k, bought on 20k and changed nothing but a power steering pipe (original exhaust and clutch as everything else) - so yes very reliable as long as you look after it
  19. buy snap-on - buy their spanners and sockets- you can put a 4 foot pipe on a 10inch spanner and it wont break, expensive but well worth the money - they will last you a lifetime. Wouldn't buy their air tools though - have 4 air guns at a cost of £400+ each all packed up within 2 years - they wont repair them or swap them, now resorted to buying £100 air guns and if they last a year then ill just replace them.
  20. Please dont use K-seal or RAD weld - it blocks everything - you will need to change your RAD and heater matrix afterwards
