  1. I did so i'd better have a go. There's no such model as a TRD Gen 7, the Sports M is rare, but not worth the extra asking price IMO. I'd also avoid the JDM examples, loads of UK cars out there with a better spec. and no super strut concerns. Coilovers are adjustable for ride, you have to justify if they're worth the cost though. 17" Wheels offer the best compromise between looks/performance/handling. No idea on the 205-T23 brake question. HTH
  2. What exactly would you like to know about the Gen 7, Rob?.
  3. Lidl have their "smart" Battery Conditioner available again on Thursday, really useful piece of kit for the absolute bargain price of £12.99. The equivilent CTEK3600 retails around the £40 mark. With a maximum charge of 3.8A, these can be left connected to your Battery without removing the terminals, and will switch automatically to maintenence mode when the Battery is fully charged. Here's the link.. http://www.lidl.co.u...index_27894.htm
  4. Arguably the biggest irritation on the Gen 7. My rear screen needs the demist on almost constantly during the Winter months.
  5. Gimba..if you can get your hands on a TTE front lip, and I think you'll be lucky to be honest, the skirts that would match the lip perfectly would be Kaminari. If I had a pre face lift, that's exactly what i'd have fitted.
  6. Just a quick word of warning to anyone planning on getting the wash bucket out tomorrow..grit!. The two non garaged cars were washed this morning and I spent ages with the hose pipe trying to blast all the crap off the cars with the gun set on "jet" ("spray" just wasn't moving the dried on grit). Eventually the paintwork looked smooth enough to apply the loaded wash mitt, but I didn't bother drying either car as I wanted to avoid dragging the "water wizard" over the paintwork. So both have been left to air dry in the breeze. It's a good idea to clean the wiper blades of grit too, and check the rain channels for debris such as leaves and twigs. Lets hope we get some drier weather next week. Enjoy
  7. That's a rather sweeping statement, Luke. Care to expand why the "space saver" should be avoided?.
  8. Exactly!. With a low starting point, there's no way of knowing if an auction type listing is going to end up being a bargain..hence me suggesting that the dedicated eBay thread be B.I.N. only.
  9. I see from other Forums, they have one thread for members to post up B.I.N. items on eBay that they consider a bargain. Do we have the same on here?, if so, I haven't seen it. If not, why not?. Please note..I am NOT advocating that auction type listings are included, that just pushes up the price when members are bidding against each other, and no-one gets a bargain.
  10. It depends on how you define, "best". Longevity?, Grip?, VFM?. If cost isn't an option, Michelin Pilot Sport would get my vote. If it is, the Toyo T1R takes some beating for the price (or the Sport version if you fit 215/45/17), but don't be tempted to save even more and fit a budget tyre like the Nankang NS2. The difference in price between the Toyo and Nankang is not worth the saving.
  11. There's no need for any balancing or alignment, but my advice is to leave the tyres with the most tread on the rear. When the fronts get to around 3mm, buy a pair of new tyres and then have the wheels swapped back to front.
  12. It's the load rating. Must easier and quicker if you google rather than me attempt to explain
  13. No, but the chances are it will be sold out in store. As bigstring mentioned, it's a cheap flushing oil..if you believe flushing is beneficial.
  14. There's a few interesting ones to view inc, the BOBTLC Winter Checklist..hope you find them interesting/useful. Kev. http://www.youtube.c...0.1.5.2.6-1l9l0
  15. The 40 might be better for high mileage engines, but the 10W certainly won't be. Especially with you living in the North, you need a thinner oil like 0W or 5W on cold start in Winter to circulate and protect ASAP.
  16. Have you considered the Toyo T1R or Falken Ziex ZE912?, they're grippy without breaking the bank. What a brilliant idea! It's an emergency stop on a wet motorway when you wish you'd spent a bit more. Wasn't that the NS1?
  17. Very true. Same here Both Millers and Fuchs sell in five litres bottles for you "lift" addicts, four litres is the exact amount for an oil/filter change on a VVTi.
  18. Not my personal choice of brand, but may be of interest to some of you Clicky
  19. There was frog spawn..everywhere!
  20. I wouldn't fit those on Toyota Rims, as TS Rims have a flat, rather than a tapered hole designed to be secured by a washer. OK for after market Rims though.
  21. £86! I thought a CTEK XS3600 was expensive at £40. Lidl do a Battery "Smart" Charger for £12.99 which can be left connected without removing the terminals. I swop this version between the MG and Triumph during the Winter.
  22. Although Ade has sold his immaculate Gen 5, he was on CCUK only yesterday. Have you tried sending him a PM?.
