  1. thanks mate, it was a valid question you raised and I should have mentioned my intentions if swapping the ecu over I probably will regret selling it but if you don't try new things then its a lot of what if's?! Iv seen a really nice Evo6 and thats what im after next
  2. Cheers for all the comments guys. The Blitz ecu is a plug and play that "adapts" to the car, I would rather see the car go as it stands, only reason I mentioned in removing the ecu is because a couple of people have expressed their interest in it long before I decided to possibly sell the car. If the ecu were to be removed then the car would be put back onto the rollers to double check everything is up to scratch before anybody buys the car. Also would like to mention that the figure of 311 was achieved before the downpipe and FMIC were fitted so I estimate around 320+ as it stands and still over 300 without the Blitz ecu. And you lot won't get rid of me that easily either! This is the best club I ever had the pleasure of being a member of and rest assured that il still be an active member. Il hopefully be putting up pics today too
  3. Wasn't 100% sure where to put this so il stick it here (mods feel free to move if need be!) After some hard thought Iv decided to move on from the GT4 So whats it worth, Iv got a price that I think but was wondering what others thought and if anyone would be interested in it. 1995 ST205 Jap import, 98k miles. Tax till April 2013 and MOT till November 2012. il start with the bad bits: has some stone chips and slight laquer peel on roof. passenger side door has the dreaded rust along the bottom, (I have a new door shell to go on and will try and get round to doing it before sale if not it'll go with the car) exhaust sometimes rattles on subframe (fairly common on GT4's) brakes sometimes squeel if not upto temperature (tried greasing and moving the clips etc but Iv put it down to them being yellowstuff pads, once warm there fine) slight tear in driverseat bolster Now the good stuff: Fig 8's and lower arms changed around 15k miles ago Clutch changed about 10k ago Timing belt done in May Modifications: Blueflame 2.75" catback exhaust (mid silencer removed) SRB 2.75" downpipe Mr. Barry straight intake with Green filter Evo 6 FMIC with custom pipework (clocked turbo) MBC set to 1 bar boost Blitz access ecu HKS SSQV Various silicon hoses Helix organic clutch KYB Excel G shocks TRD Springs TRD Topmounts Yellowstuff pads Enkei RP01 16's (Proxie T1R's 225/50 around 5mm tread remaining) WRC raiser blocks Late spec rear lights Clear side repeaters Momo steering wheel HKS boost gauge It is a quick car, a few club memebers have been out in it and hopefully they'll testify to this!! Dyno chart of 311bhp and have ran a flat 13 second 1/4 mile Think thats about it off top of my head, I have masses of paperwork/receipts for the car including all old MOTS etc. The car is used only at weekends and is serviced regular, anything that needs replacing has been. I am going to be removing the Blitz ecu however buyer we'll get first dibs on it if wanted aswell as a set of stock alloys that are used on track, tyres fairly decent. Also have standard cat, original rear plate surround etc and a new bottle of gear oil that will go with the car. Pics will follow shortly as I want to take some up to date ones. So whats peoples thoughts and is anyone interested? Viewings are more than welcome!
  4. father in laws FTO, was registered in Japan in 1995 but is on an '04 plate, thats the year it came over here and DVLA decided to stick it down as a 2004 car!!
  5. what did you actually take out? unless it was loads of stuff there won't be much difference at all, except the noise!!
  6. very difficult, leave it the professionals!!
  7. theres a chap on the OC "Tops" whos running 720bhp but again not sure if he's on here.
  8. iv had advisories on two mots for noisy exhaust. thing is though motorbikes are alot more noiser than cars with an aftermarket system and a bike is more like a high pitched scream anyway and they don't seem to have any problems!
  9. had mine coming up for 4 1/2 years
  10. nice one mate, sounds awesome and seems to go well enough
  11. just to add, iv just taken the car out for a blast and the clutch pedal is more squeeky then before BUT..... the brakes have stopped squealing!! Its only taken 2 years or so
  12. mine always seems to come back with more rattles after a track session tyres were a bit worse for wear but no change there then!!
  13. Liking that John, il get the gap measured and get some ordered
  14. Got the core off ebay, its an evo6 one. The pipework I got from a guy off the OC, its a complete custom setup. So looks like mesh it is!! Iv seen some plastic type stuff which looks very similar to the upper grille mesh so will probably go with that
  15. Im after some opinions please guys, this is how my car looks after fitting the fmic. The bumper had to be trimmed a fair bit to allow it to fit back on with the pipework, iv left as much lower grille in as I could but aren't sure what to do now. Ideally I want to leave the number plate mounting incase I need it. So what would you do??
  16. Happy Anniversary paulgtt!

  17. prices must have gone up in the last 3 years then!!!
  18. i run 225/50 on road wheels and 225/40 for track rims
  19. I carry the spacersaver in the boot, pretty sure it won't fit the front of the faff anyway but oh well!! Also like to point out that removing all weight from the rear completely unbalances the car. I did a trackday with the rear completely stripped and it was totally different handling to running full weight, obviously you probably wouldn't notice this as much on the road unless your driving like the stig all the time
  20. won't clear the calipers, im sure someone on the OC tried to fit a set but wasn't going to happen.
  21. Whats the best paint to use on a fmic? Would hammerite be ok?? The one im looking at is currently painted black but the paints quite bad, looking to remove the old stuff and apply fresh paint. I assume its not really advisable to rub it down with wet and dry or would the fins be ok doing this?
  22. whats the quality like on them mate? got any videos from one of them?
  23. Has anyone used a video camera like the one in the link before? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINI-SPORTS-POCKET-HELMET-VIDEO-CAMERA-CAM-DV-DVR-MD80-/110711420952?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item19c6ea3818 Im after something to film trackdays with that doesn't cost alot!! Iv seen a video done with one of these and the quality isn't bad obviously im not expecting it to be brilliant! Hopefully being that its small and lightweight the mounting bracket/clips should be alright, iv used a few different mounts now and they've all been a bit crap! By the way I can't use a window suction mount as these aren't allowed on track. What does everyone else use?
