  1. It's worth pointing out that OBX make a few different DIY flanges, so have a browse & see which will be best for your needs. The one in the link is for a USDM 5SFE so check it's good for your c/head stud pattern.
  2. Only other thing you may need to think about is longer studs or swapping to bolts. The flange in the link is 0.4" so 10.16mm so without knowing how much clearance is needed, this looks like a good bet.
  3. Right, I've just done a bit of research for you & given a spare fe manifold I have a look over. It's a 1 piece casting with a formed flange section around 15mm thick. Now removing the branches & making the mating surface perfectly flat will be a lot of work & very difficult, so.... Click me. If only everything in life was that easy, eh?
  4. The spacer's what I'd look into definitely. See with a lot of mods, the ones you want to do can mean you end up doing 5 other mods that you have to do! Clocking the compressor housing will mean the outlet points down (or wherever), but you'll need to fab a bracket to hold the actuator in it's original position so it operates the wastegate as it should. You'd be facing exactly the same problem as before (only with neater boost piping options available to you). I'd be surprised if spacing the whole manifold out by the width of a flange (8-10mm?) would screw up your downpipe alignment more than your flexi could cope with anyway.
  5. You could cut the flange off your old (fe) manifold & use it as a spacer. You've already got the parts (bar an extra gasket), & then you'll not have to mess with anything else. No knock on problems at all then.
  6. I'm guessing it was the lure of the beer tokens....? You never commute to work from Market Harborough.... do you?
  7. Unless, you're needing spigot rings that only reduce by a couple of mm. I was looking for some of these type of rings for my my MR-S (1.6mm if memory serves) a while back & all I could find in the correct size were made to order aluminium ones for around £35 + p&p a set! I ended up making my own.
  8. Well, you all already knew that, didn't ya! I do actually need help with something though... What I'd like to know, is if there are any of you lovely people in Market Harborough or the surrounding area who'd be able to store a front lip for a short while for me? I've bought a lip which is currently north of the border & the seller has very kindly offered to bring it down south with him when he travels to Market Harborough on the 23rd of this month. So if there's anyone with a spare bit of loft/shed/garage space available who'd be willing to hang onto it for me until I'm able to make my way up there to get it, please do let me know. It's brand new & has no damage & obviously I'm extremely keen to keep it this way so postage was never really an option. Better still, if there's anyone who's from the Market Harborough area who's planning on making a journey South down to the Gatwick area at some point after the 24th please do let me know as well. Beer tokens/favours/sexual favours are most definitely an option. If you can help, get in touch & let's haggle!
  9. Can't you find a better wheel than that though, it's ugly as sin! I don't reckon it's clunky Vauxhall styling will match your interior any better than the one does the in the linked MR2 thread. (And that one had carbon goodness - Which is normally a free pass, with me anyway! ). See, on the MR2 they've put a curvy styled (middle) one on to a boxy looking dash & you'd be putting a boxy looking wheel onto a curvy dash. Think you're better off with a TRD wheel tbh.
  10. It's an engine breather, what it does is chuck horrible oily air back into your inlet so it can gunge-up your IACV. Run it to an oil catch can with a fancy little filter on it. Your IACV will thank you.
  11. If I were you I'd either edit that post to include the words "in theory/hypothetically speaking" or just remove the evidence altogether.... Why's that bloke got Wickie's hat on....? (Yes I know who it is really, before any geniuses try to point it out.... ).
  12. I've been doing this for a while now. Ever since I heard about a guy over on clubVR4.com who sold his car to a guy from the netherlands who upon leaving the seller's house proceeded to drive all the way home at 150mph (through every camera & toll gate he could find en-route)! Quick cars those Legnum VR4's!
  13. Does it match my new one ^^ ? If so I'll take it buddy!
  14. Finally, having cleared customs..... Drum roll please......! It's round & it's sexy.... It's made by apexi....! Tah-dah! Only took me 18 months to find!
  15. If it's a dial type thing like this it's going to be the car's 'birthday' sticker. There was me thinking it was Ken! Thought he'd been a bit quiet lately... ... It's 'cos you've zipped him up!
  16. Trust me, that was one of the better ones... Bad google images! Bad, bad google images!
  17. Not a Celica, but my brother found a simply red tape in the boot of his RX7. Oh the shame! And Arizona became the proud owner of an eastern european folk/dance music cd when we got her gt4's cd player working!
  18. I found around 200 golf tee's down the back of the rear seats & in the spare wheel well of celica #2! The previous owner must have wondered why his hobby was costing him so much! And a stick of Japanese chewing gum under the handbrake gaiter in the faff.
  19. Well the video is of a celica (a USDM gen5 Coupe), but the first frame is of a 200sx. Hence:
  20. Didn't realise it was you doing the editing, otherwise I'd not have said anything! Thought you'd found it like that!
  21. I'm trying to work out why there's a picture of a crashed 200sx at the start of that gen 5 video...? Poor editing skills much?
