  1. leave two negative comments, one with each pen
  2. I'd of assumed that the tyres would of been too wide for the wheels, good to know I'm wrong though!
  3. maybe already posted or hopefully a members? http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3102041.htm seems like the deal of the century to me!
  4. 33mpg for a gt4 is pretty good, was that keeping it to 3krpm at most though? Bet it wasn't!
  5. 40 profile and 18 diameter. TBH it was for my MOT...but the damage to the sides of the tyres wasn't a fail, BUT...it's good to know I can chuck these in with the sale of the car and they'll fit for the new user Thanks for the replies everyone!
  6. Can you post a clear pic of your front bumper cooperman?
  7. I've trained my mrs to like mine via a series of 5-across-the-eyes. She learns slowly.
  8. Someone selling something akin to this in the other stuff for sale section, isn't there? TBH I wouldn't be using anything like this on something like a Celica...but IF I won the Euro Lottery and bought a few super cars...I'd have it, fo' sho'...cos I have one hundred and eleventeen trillion dollars to play with
  9. actually I'll be heading back up to Manchester and Preston areas in August, so will pop by
  10. My car's definitely had a respray at some point. It's silver, but not Lucerne... Is there any way to get someone to match the paint exactly how it is on the car? I know B&Q can do that kinda witchcraft for normal paint for walls etc...what about cars though? Any help much appreciated
  11. seen a few restoration courses, 3 hours once a week for 10 weeks. Might give it a blast, only a hundred quid or so...so fuck it!
  12. I annoyingly couldn't shift a Mini SD on the way home from work, well...I was behind him and there was a bit of traffic so we had to be sensible, but 225lb of torque and 143bhp from a diesel is mightily nippy...was quite annoying giving how bland it looked! We gave each other a smile and a nod anyway...BIG UP RESPECT-A Haha, innit. You wouldn't need to rebuild a 200bhp engine after every little race though would ya
  13. ring him, texts are a pain in the cock
  14. Rogue are the shit, so that'll be a top notch job. Good price for the car too...Wish I had the money! Might be worth keeping an eye out on driftworks as well, as a lotta the guys over there go for beams for lightweight n/a projects and sometimes sell up the engine and looms etc
  15. TBF...the chap could be asking £6k and it still be a dog turd. Go have a look and good luck, hope it's a goodun!
  16. Border kits look much nicer on 2's than veilsides. Also, you'll struggle to fuck to find a cheap beams mr2...as they only started making them with the rev5 which means they command dickhead money...£5k+ in fact. If you find one that's had a conversion done, make sure it's done well...wouldn't wanna hazzard a guess at the cost of sorting something like that out if it was done by some mong
  17. what size washer do you need for a gen 6 for the sump bolt?
  18. That's kind of besides the point. This is more about judging/writing off a whole car manufacturer because of some young, slightly clueless lads who drive badly modified cars. There's a lotta vauxhalls that would simply trounce the living shit out of even the best Celicas in a lot of departments. But then it's all down to personal taste, the fact a Corsa could beat me in a straight line and even in the twisties isn't something that bothers me. I prefer the look of my Celica..and don't care what anyone else thinks about it in all honesty. But I still wouldn't bash an entire brand of car because of a few bad eggs, I could post chavvy as fuck Celica pics all day, it's not the car, it's the person.
  19. this is what's put me off doing mine for a while. I bought a deep 14mm socket (halfords professional) though, so will be doing mine this week, as I've got Thursday and Friday off. boom!
  20. It's the psychology of pack mentality though, innit. You buy a car, join a forum, see other cars that're modded...you want to make yours unique too...just doesn't matter what car it is. I'm sure there's forums somewhere with marque cars that're loling their arses off at our celicas. There's forums for modded rover 25's for gods sake, it IS ridiculous spending any amount of money on a car when you think about it. Some of the people on here with supercharged 7's could of bought something like a Noble M12 with the cash that's been spent on their cars over the years...but a) you buy something you can afford at the time and B: spend bits here and there that total up. Most people haven't got the patience to save up lots for a supercar and definitely can't afford the insurance, maintenance and fuel costs associated with them. You just make do with what you got and try to put your own stamp on it. Innit
  21. and on what...£4.10 an hour? Gonna make yerself ruddy bloody bankrupt
