wintersun Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 Hi all, Just went out to start the Celica up and it wont start. 1. not driven it for about 4 days 2. weather very very cold 3. fuel is very low, light is on 4. car is parked on a slight hill facing downwards Just turned the key and the engine turned as normal and started for 1 second before it konked out on me. Turned the key again and all i can hear is the starter motor turning over the engine, no fireing up at all, not even a rumble of fireing up. run out of fuel?? ..... Foogles Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 Parking facing downhill in a Gen 7 will make the petrol gauge display that you've got less petrol than what you actually have so you probably have got plenty of petrol so I could possibly rule that out. Sherv Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 Its possible like Paul says its not picking up fuel,if you can get it level or just stick a few quids worth in out of a can then you can rule it out if it still wont fire up...you've got to fill it up anyway you should try and avoid running it that low on fuel anyway mate if you can 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wintersun Posted December 27, 2014 Author Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 cheers lads, got a jerrycan of petrol now, its only on a slight down hill, but probably enough for the small amout of fuel in the tank to go to one end of the tank.
