Hi all,

Just went out to start the Celica up and it wont start.

1. not driven it for about 4 days

2. weather very very cold

3. fuel is very low, light is on

4. car is parked on a slight hill facing downwards

Just turned the key and the engine turned as normal and started for 1 second before it konked out on me.

Turned the key again and all i can hear is the starter motor turning over the engine, no fireing up at all, not even a rumble of fireing up.

run out of fuel?? .....

Its possible like Paul says its not picking up fuel,if you can get it level or just stick a few quids worth in out of a can then you can rule it out if it still wont fire up...you've got to fill it up anyway ;) you should try and avoid running it that low on fuel anyway mate if you can

cheers lads, got a jerrycan of petrol now, its only on a slight down hill, but probably enough for the small amout of fuel in the tank to go to one end of the tank. How to I pump the fuel? just keep it turning over until the pump draws it to the engine?
