JoniiBoii
Now I know HIDS come up a lot on here , and I definitely think they improve the appearance , but generally when I had them on my old mr2 roadster they didn't really do anything great for my visual efforts when driving ( in other words they were the same as standard bulbs , if not worst ) now if I get HIDS again , ill go for the 5000k or 4300k as there more OEM than blue , just wondering what everyone thinks before I press the buy it now button.. Lol
Old Red Celica
4300k are like std bulb colour, 5000k are a bit whiter. Main problem is MOT now, I'll find out if mine pass the MOT next week. I'm not sure what I have in my Gen6 now.
JoniiBoii
See I don't think there should be a problem , as if there aligned up correctly there won't be any glare , and I've read up on HIDS via the forum , just want people's views? Are there any alternatives?
gen7nnb
I have the 5000k bulbs and they're good, better than OEM halogens. But if you want brighter but without going HID, try Osram Nightbreakers. Excellent alternative!
CelicaBabe
Mine have just passed last week absolutely fine with 6K HIDS

JoniiBoii
Do you know what I think it is , it's the person who does your MOT, if there a royal penis then it won't pass , if there awesome and have motor oil in there blood it will pass lol ( relative to HIDS , nothing else)

gen7nnb
I get cheap MOT's by a garage near work so hopefully mine will be ok too! What do you think you will go for Jonii?
JoniiBoii
Well I've heard of these bulbs that give a cleaner white colour ( which is always good ) but HIDS always look decent , does anyone know what those bulbs that give a clean white appeal are called? Brand?
gen7nnb
I used to use Ring Sportzblue in my old Peugeot, they were pretty cool.

gen7nnb
Sure. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ring-Sportz-Blue-80W-pair/dp/B002PIJ54W They're possibly a little bluer than you're after but I liked them before getting HID's.

GTsillycar
I had 8000k hid's in the gen 6, we're white glare and only a slight improvement over oe. I've recently replaced them with osram nightbreakers, vast improvement. Look brighter but without glare.

GT Bob
So which of the two are the best,Mtec or Osram? Edited May 19, 2013 by GT Bob
Mek
I think they're quite good personally. In terms of the difference, the osram's are a little more yellow but they're both pretty good
