shaungt4
You could have something like this Wayne . Still got your stereo and with built in satnav gps http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-Double-DIN-Car-DVD-Player-GPS-Navigation-Sat-Nav-/220511534657?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item335782fe41 Edited May 1, 2012 by shaungtr
Custom Ice
Short answer, yes. but do yourself a favour, buy a decent branded one, not one of the "does it all dead cheap" peices of poo. They fail, and often are difficult to use. Go Kenwood, or Pioneer for example. Will cost a bit but won't fail anywhere near as soon. PM me if you want options and prices, but i may not be the cheapest around.
chan110
So do-able. Sounds pricey already - arrrrgh :-( shaun wot spec do i need to look for for an replacement? Just size of slot to fit in? Wot is single/double din?
Mr Rizla
single din is standard cdradio size, double din is twice the size, I know gen 5 & 6 can take double if you remove the Toyota blank plate, not sure of the internats of a gen4 happy researching reference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_7736 Edited May 1, 2012 by Mr Rizla
shaungt4
This is single din http://www.ebay.co.u...=item35ae8bb0a0 And this is double din http://www.ebay.co.u...=item5198cf0007 But as stated go for a dearer make rather than the cheap ones The gen 4 can take a single or double din if you take out the blanking plate under the stereo . That's if yours is the same as the uk gen4 with a plate of corse Edited May 1, 2012 by shaungtr
chan110
I hav a blank plate under my stereo - yippee double din! But the stereo+blank plate is sooooo low down i hav a feeling a slot in/out touch screen will just hit my auto gear stick and hence will not work :-(

If u are upgrading why not go for the full monty with tweeters as well + 8speaker Bose sound system.....though having said that not sure u can hear your sweet little engine anymore.....
