  1. As we all know when going to supermarkets to far away from other cars and get an end bay.
  2. Happy 10 Anniversary Steve C!

  3. Happy 9 Anniversary Steve C!

  4. Thank you for all the useful replies, I will take the advice on board. It's a wheel arch I've been working on.
  5. Is it possible to achieve the factory gloss finish on a body panel with a spray can lacquer ? The end result I got is a rough feel to it, even after polishing it.
  6. Happy Anniversary Steve C!

  7. Excellent day......the operation wasn't as bad as I thought and I learnt a bit about braces

  10. Photoshoot with Practical Classics went ahead as planned today at Peterborough Arena. Weather was dry and sunny. They started shooting at 10:30am with a few staturary shots of the engine, interior, wheels and parts of the bodywork. All shots were done outdoors. There was a team of three involved in the whole procedure. The exciting part was the "moving shots" where I followed their estate car with the photographer guiding me to either come closer or move back, a bit like shooting a action movie. We did a few laps of this. I was talking to the owner of a Ford Escort Mexico 1972 which was being photographed for the front cover........I did try and persuade them to put mine on instead.........but they didn't accept my bribe The staff of Practical Classics said that their jobs weren'nt particularly well paid, but you'd have to have a passion for cars to enjoy the job. The article will appear in the May edition which will be on sale mid April. They will send me a complimentary issue plus a CD of my photos. The car I had to chase Practical Classic team
  11. Happy Anniversary Steve C!

  12. Surprised to hear this, and maybe not too surprised as I understand pennies are tight. Owning and driving a sportscar will no doubt burn a hole in anyones' pocket.
  13. Some things will be better than after market. The fittings will be more accurate and they'll last a touch longer, but it's not always the case. I had a load of problems with Toyota brake discs, took them back, they skimmed them but problem still there. Got aftermarket ones now and they 've been trouble free since.
  14. This is my second gen 4 Celica in 20 years ownership.
  15. Agree with Arizona on the 7s, because there are so many anout , not every owner is an enthusiast. The rarer the Celica, the more chance you'll get a wave especially in a gen 4. Its years before I ever see one randomly on the road.
  16. Hi Chris, you know I should've given you a lift to get your Celica from that car park at Duxford. I'll check my diary regarding the Wisbech meet. Looks good from the pics.
  17. Wayne, you're beggining to show signs of Advance Obsessive Celica Disorder
  18. Hi Liam, Oaksey is a gen 7 member from the Cambridge area. We recently had a meet at the Duxford Air Museum, although there were no gen 7 Celicas.
  19. Everytime I park up and walk away.........I always turn my head back to give it a "Miss You" look.
  20. Probably will hit it if in "P" ? Shaun, get it for the 4 first
  21. There is a "Help" group for people like us http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/index.php
  22. Very glad to hear this Rich, and thanks in advance for helping me out There are indeed plenty of 5s and 6s, I will keep my out for you. What is your budget ? I hope that we're able to view a Celica together one day
