Boynxdoor
It's only the rust proof I'll pay and using the garage... I'll be the one who will do it... :D Last time I did it with my Honda, only paid 15£ I guess, about 4yrs ago... :)

LiamGTR
I paid £25 when I had it done on my last celica.... Wtf, there is a group buy on the GTROC and he is charging £275 and they seem to be jumping at the oppurtunity? How can this be if it can be done for as little as £25 ? sonic
depends on what job you want , a local company to me , can sell me the complete kit for around £300 , but for a start its like por 15 so it will last longer than the car and also includes , the tools and diagrams on where to inject the rust paint into places like the sills etc sadly on celicas they CAN rust from the inside out

mrsoundcraft
£25 is very cheap. Im not sure all of these places do it properly. Im currently scraping underseal off an MG Midget and I have found dirt and soil in the wheel arches under the underseal. Ive also found rust behind underseal in other areas. doesn't say much for the thoroughness of the undersealer person
Boynxdoor
Rust proof that I'll be using is just like a rubber seal... It doesn't get too hard and I know it doesn't last forever... It is safe in most area under the body as it is flexible unlike the paint. I'll be the one who will do it so it's cheap. I guess it can last about 2 to 4 years under the wheel arch but under the body it self, It will last longer since there's not much trauma there unless You do some serious off road that will include scrapping your under body to the ground... CelicaBen190
When the local garage did my exhaust they offered me it for £30, they coat the underside with this anti rust stuff with a brush. Wasnt hammerite, but like a light coloured paste/wax Edited July 15, 2011 by CelicaBen140
Boynxdoor
Not bad for that Mate, I'll be doing the whole under body. Apart from certain parts that doesn't need doing...

Sherv
Just take back all the dirt and any surface crud as far as you possibly can to metal on the exposed parts and whatever you use put loads on. For starters i got the drill and wire cups out Ive used plenty of this, doesnt dry hard and crack off and box sections you can use this stuff Assume you done all that type of stuff before so probably preaching to the converted My 162: Fair play to you,not enough people doing this on a lot of cars and suffering later on because of the rust coming from inside out.And you dont have to have an 'old' car to get the rust as you know.Show us some pics when youre done!
