Just make sure you go to somewhere that is experienced with welding stainless. A custom exhaust place might end up being quite pricey. Have a drive around some industrial estates, you'll usually be able to find a small manufacturing place that will be able to do it for you. I'd shop around for a few prices too if you can

What? I would say drive the price down a lot for the damage etc, but if he wont budge it walk away and bill him for your fuel for deliberately misleading!

Sounds like the best thing for that will be some wet and dry.
