  1. Happy 12 Anniversary nthnmunky!

  2. They look really good, nicely finished off.
  3. Check the MAF sensor is clean and free from crap, there's lots of posts on how to do that... That's where I'd start.
  4. With a little bit of experience with both cars now I can say without any doubt that mechanically there's little between them. The true difference is in the way it feels when you push on and explore grip limits etc. Personally I think the GT86 is better looking, more modern, as you'd expect BUT... with the cost of GT86 at maybe somewhere between 6-10x the price of a decent Gen7 Celica it is a touch call to take the plunge. When costs come down further I'll be looking out for one maybe.
  5. Yup photoshopped, those are a set of 20" McLaren Superlight 'Stealth' rims which are an option fitted to MP4-12C and spider. Pretty sure you'll struggle to find a set, eBay has genuine ones with 19" fronts and 20" rears for around £6-7k if you're feeling flush and really want to ruin the looks and handling of your car lol.
  6. Happy 11 Anniversary nthnmunky!

  7. Happy Anniversary nthnmunky!

  8. F*cking Elm, is this thread still going? Poor Ant has had to go off to Cypress on holiday to get over the shame of this thread. I'm sure he pines to come home but he'll have to con-cedar his options.
  9. I've done a few, you'd probably just get sycamore.... All joking aside, i'm glad it escaped pretty much unscathed. You were very lucky.
  10. I wood log it with insurance in case you find more damage later and need to call on the services of a reputable bodyshop for treetment. I'd have thought a big ol' tree falling on the car wood chip more than the paint. Did it not leaf any permanent marks? Yew've been so lucky. Your neighbour willow yew now so it's oakay.
  11. Thirded on Liquid Gold, it's a fantastic colour.
  12. Wrap's can last a couple of years but a decent respray could last for decades. Yuou'll also get to see firsthand what lies under that paint etc. I'd go that route if the cost isn't too prohibitive.
  13. Plain discs don't howl nearly as often as grooved or dimpled. I'd personally plump for plain discs unless you're likely to require the added cooling due to intense braking regularly. I know grooved discs look nice but they do have a habit of squealing or ticking etc.
  14. A shitty thing to have done (we've had it on 3 occasions before including on our Porsche which we had no option but to claim for bastards!). I hope you can get this sorted and even more so that someone saw something or knows something and you can get the fucker responsible.
  15. Interesting to see their shop and workshop. Had envisaged something on a much grander scale. Spoken to Gary before, he seemed OK on the phone (despite the call being a complaint about my parts lol) and he's nothing like I'd imagined him to look like hahaha.
  16. Happy Anniversary nthnmunky!

  17. I think it's going to be tough to find something as special for less money. Love it.
  18. Tough one as I really don't like the car nearly as much as my previous steed but I guess the badge?...
  19. I'd steer clear of having a 2zzge cover done myself. Any contaminants that make their way into the oilways on the underside are going to be dragged through the engine. Not a good idea.
  20. Weird, mine fitted in the green car definitely have both. They both have the manual winder adjustment on each side and a full length metal bar running under the rear of the seat base that allows for the seat upright to be dropped forward instantly. :/
  21. Ray, mine tilted with a lever under the rear of the seat. It basically folded forward at the pull of a lever and went back just the same way. The winder is just for adjustments.
