Headlight Wires & Conversion Kit

Whilst looking under the bonnet, though something I had not seen before, I found two loose connections, one black and one grey, on the driver's side coming from the alternator it looks like I found another of these grey connections under the battery whilst I was looking around for coolant leaks, could not see the black wire though.

I am wondering if this has to do with a headlight conversion as on my main beams, I have some big LED lights like these https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/osram-cool-blue-intense-hb4-headlight-bulbs-with-a-xenon-look-2-bulbs-48177030c

not exactly the ones, but like that.

 

The outside lights do not have this, I don't believe, and the lights on the standard main dipped beam are terrible for nighttime.

 

I'm just wondering if anybody knows if they're okay left like that; I mean, they can't be essential, as the car is fine apart from the coolant issue and passed most recently.

It's not uncommon to have unused connectors anyway as manufacturers tend to have standard looms which include all the options.

If your standard main beam lamps are disconnected then these could be the origanal connectors.

Provided they can't short onto anything there's no issue, if they could then tie them to the loom so that they can't.

That's fair and makes sense yeah ill tie them up just incase, thank you

I'm wondering if that connector is for the fan that you don't have. There are two fans on my Gen' 5, I thought the 6 would be the same?

I don't have air conditioning so I only have 1 fan
