  1. I do. And for legacy purpose i still sell my products to people here who asks at a club price. However for new development and progress updates such as the vortex generators, it'll be announced on my official page first before anywhere else.

  2. New to 2016, I've re-evaluated the prices of many of my products to bring them in line with other retailers.

The significant reductions are mainly in my Fibreglass products. Some of the carbon products are also reduced in price despite its exclusivity.

Because of huge sales pre Christmas 2015, I am very low in stock and will be looking to replenish many of the top selling lines by mid February.

However most of the fibreglass products which are produced here in the UK are not effected since they are all manufactured to order within 5 working days.

As usual, by buying directly from me via FB or CCUK you get them at the rock bottom prices compared to my ebay shop which is usually £5-£20 more due to selling fees.

In time the product lists in CCUK will be updated with new pictures but meanwhile here are the current new prices of everything.

If you need pictures, please refer to my FB posts and pictures or product lists in CCUK under the corporate section.

  3. Keep me updated pls.

Comma made the fluids for Halfords and have re-branded them but the Comma DOT4 is not the re-branded Racing. It is just the normal old Halfords DOT4 with wet boiling 180 Degc.

I'm going to need to look for an alternative now for my annual change. Or search ebay to see if anyone has some. I only have one bottle left.

  4. The thing is they said that the halfords one was a rebranded stuff from comma so its suppose to be the same thing.

But I found no evidence of this and cant find any details of this comma stuff to compare with the halfords racing dot 4.

Bought the comma stuff anyway because I need to change my brake fluids. I just hope it has a high tolerance as well.

  5. Agree Cooper. I too often find that problem with anything that comes out of that country but it's always a hit and miss.

Grey Racer, I think the main reason for that is because owning a car is incredibly expensive in the first place and it's still very early to that country to get used to ownership and consumables like tyres are of it's lowest priorities hence why most motorists there only buy cheap tyres just to get to A-B with total disregards of performance or safety.

There was a discussion raised on Moneysupermarket about these tyres which as expected are sceptical responses and opinions with no actual or factual reviews or feedback.

But it is interesting what they say about the EU ratings and how they are reviewed. Not as simple as each brands ranking their own from bad to worse.

  6. Avon? Definitely not Chinese.

The tyre labels are meaningless until they are generated using a standardized test procedure in a controlled environment by an independent body, imho. Until such a measure is in place I'll stick to reviews, experiences and known brands.

    Never said Avon was chinese.

I got my answer on a statement I found about self-certification.

However like you I too would like to go on reviews for safeguard.

However the fact remains that these tyres did make it pass EU standards and are self rated quite highly compared to popular brands.

The problem is because they're so new no one has tried and reviewed them.

Since my treads are low, ill be needing new rubbers around mid summer and for that price im going to give them a go and write a review.

Im not expecting amazing performance and im always unbiased until proven or tested so lets see how it goes.

  7. I know there is a stigma in all clubs to avoid any tyres which arent branded or track tested.

I the past when I was young and tight all I cared was passing MOT and so second hand used tyres was routine.

However I remember using loads of unknown brands all mix and match and it was a hit and miss on which wheel gripped or failed.

I do remember on mu civic I once had a brand called Avor or something which my mechanics recommended and at only £40 per tyre low profile. It was like discovering the holy grail because they where amazing.

  8. I think ive found the answer.

From July 2012, tyre manufacturers will be required to ensure that the new label appears on all tyres manufactured from this time onwards, and that the tyres are graded through a self-certification process.

self - certification. Meaning its not independently tested but by the manufacturer.

This would mean there will be variables from brand to brands which would explain why some tyres with the same ratings perform differently.

However. I think I may give these a try just for the purpose of reviewing it since its half the price and summer is just round the corner.

How knows, they may make good budget drift tyres for those who are into that.

  9. Soooo a lot of assumptions on generalisation. I too somewhat agree.

But I too know of the hype over tyres which effects price and trends and also know that majority of all mass manufactured items are from China.

So hence the question in the title. Can the European ratings be trusted because for example, vredstein ultra... something tyres rated the same as falkens fks.

Ive had both one after the other after seeing good reviews. Both feels almost the same apart from the wear. However neither performs the same as the F1s in the wet though all rated B wet.

The generalisation and assumptions of stuff out of china means nothing to me unless its proven. After all apple products are from the same place.

in Asia the biggest and most popular brand of tyres in motor sport is actually hankook. And theyre mostly made in china.
