  1. Thanks for all the pics fellas its really given me food for thought, so many to choose from!
  2. It does indeed make sense, and thanks for the heads up fella
  3. Keef I'm loving the gauge pod where dud you get it from and how did u get it looking so seamless. Zorg, I've considered mounting here but was worried I wouldn't be able to read the gauges from drivers seat. How do u get on?
  4. I do like those 2 in 1 gauges on there but they are £178
  5. Cheers for the info, but don't think I can justify between £133-190 a gauge!
  6. Thinking of getting oil temp and oil pressure gauges. Any reccomendations? Digital http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=180683030159 Or analogue http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=380119727605
  7. Try here: http://www.findabreaker.co.uk/breakeryard-search/england/west-yorkshire/cooper-bridge-doncaster-motor-spares/viewlink.html 10 mins from my house if you need me to collect owt. Or here: http://www.dewsburyautosalvage.com/ Also about 30 mins from me.
  8. Oh....and Gareth...congrats on your new purchase...your secret is safe until they are fully bought and fitted
  9. The black ones with the stainless lip you jumped on as soon as they came up for sale should look good against yours!
  10. You're welcome to come to my garage on Tues night if you want. We are doing Toms rear springs but could easily give you a hand, its literally a 15min job. Hardest bit is removing the plastics underneath. I have a massive set of mole grips designed for oil filters too
  11. If rear seats are ok I might have em, but not looking to spend much mate as I ll be getting them retrimmed. AMS does them for £10 plus postage so maybe £20? See if they ll go for that, pm me if you need my mobile number. Cheets mate
  12. Cheers, but Tom just cancelled 5 mins ago. Hangover I suspect! Tues now.
  13. LOL loving this ^ Well done grabbing those alloys so quickly too!
  14. Due to my faffing around with my front brakes, we didn't start Toms springs until 3.45pm then had to finish at 5:45pm as Tom had to pick up his lady. The good news was we got both front shocks off, whilst Tom got the spring compressors on them and put his new TTE's on, I continued to grind off and drill out the old droplinks. Got all the front back together and torqued up. Not bad for two hours, attempting rears tomorrow morn.
  15. Just wondering how yours in faring. To be honest mine is running the best it ever has done. I think i blew out lots of cobwebs. It seems to pick up do much better in every gear. I do a crappy 2 mile drive to work and back each day and i think my ecu has learned to run on choke a lot more, but driving around at 7000rpm in third gear all day has worked wondered. It was also a relief to learn my "sparking" brakes were perfectly normal when pushed, due to the compound in the pads apparently. How cool is that!?! So how is yours doing?
  16. Stance looks so much better. Post pics of seats when done.
  17. Can't you just fit st205 hubs to the st202 to allow fitment of the four pots?
  18. The four pot st205 calipers are not that big, they easily fit behind 17 inch wheels and I believe some 16 inch too. If your interested I have a good front pair for sale.
  19. Yep we tried that but Wayne didnt have a 17mm spanner to access the nut whilst the strut was still on the car.
  20. How many Yorkshire men does it take to swap over some suspension..... ME and Tom arrived about 2.30pm and Wayne was battling with a seized drop link which meant it took 2 hours for the first corner lol but then second front corner took 30mins. Meanwhile Tom an I gave Craig a hand fitting his front bumper and got his headlight bulb fixed. I left at 6pm as Wayne and Craig were removing the first rear strut. I hope you got it all sorted fellas. Oh and I took a pic of Wayne's new wheels
  21. You could just remove the whole caliper, which is held on by two 17mm bolts. You could then get your caliper in a vice to give you better access to the 14mm. You might find a ring spanner or socket might then grip as you can get better purchase on it. If not just grind the top of the nut off, separate the caliper into its two pieces then get mole grips on the protruding thread.
  22. How come I've been dragged into this! Yellow is the future! ...like a candle in the wind.....
  23. LMFAO you guys crack me up Toms giving me a hand or more likely a foot to help me bleed my brakes on sat then we ll come over to Wayne's. I want to check out his pink micra I've heard so much about LOL
  24. Yeah, you new MOT place fella On another note, its nice to see you back on the forums. Us Northen Munkeys need to stick together
  25. I had similar probs and so did the following: 1. Changed the gearbox oil for Redline MT90 from Opieoils (highly recommended) 2. Fitted TRD shortshifter 3. fitted brass bushes 4. Fitted weighted gearknob (around 300g) Gearshift is much improved and all my probs have gone apart from the old....getting from 2nd into 3rd when in lift. If you are not concentrating and try to force it, it wont go. A lot of members on here including Martin and I favour the "double tap method" i.e. knock it out of second pause for a millisecond then just push it forward and it goes straight into 3rd every time. The more you practice with this the faster you get. Its not the ideal solution but you never miss 3rd doing this
