  1. The relay should be in the engine fuse box. If you look in the lid there will be a plan of the fuse/relay layout. I'm not 100% on what it will be labled with, I'll go and have a look in the Gen 6.

    Back in a mo. :D

Scuse the blurryness it's cold out.

It's the blue one, bottom right, labeled ST

  2. A relay is a magnetically operated switch, with the magnetic force being generated by an electrical current through a coil which pulls the switch closed.

The coils may degrade so the force does not keep the switch closed very well or the contacts on the switch may get corroded so not make a very good circuit. The switches can also get sticky and stiff.

  3. I used EBC Ultimax on my ST182 and now have them on my ST202, never had any issues apart from the bloody dust, good bite from cold. B)

I have EBC greens on the HI Spec 4 pot fronts on my MR2, they're pretty damn good but then that's probably down to the big ol' calipers as well.

Pagids are fantastic, they used to do 'fast road pads' which were relatively inexpensive but I think they've stopped making them. :(

  4. Cheers all.

Unfortunately if it's thicker than 1mm Ade the disk will sit proud of the wheel , if I wanted to use a thicker disk then I'd need to get a lip machined into it and the price would go up a fair bit I reckon.

I've looked at ultra low profile screws but the heads still going to stick out by 2mm. The other alternative is 2 PU, a fairly hard setting 2 part polyurethane adhesive but I don't know how well it will adhere to the aluminium.

I suppose if I went for a steel disk then I could tack weld the clips onto the back but I don't want to add too much extra weight to the wheel and if a 1mm steel disk came off the car at speed it would be likely to take someones head off. :o

Aaaaaargh! I need something to go in there as I don't want the ends of the drive shafts exposed to the elements as they are at the moment.

    Clingfilm?

  5. Ok since my wheels have no centre covers and I cant find anything that will fit I've decided to make my own, they're a stupid size (145mm disk).

So I need to find some clips similar to those on centre caps, anyone know what these are called?

If that fails I'm open to ideas. I have considered using polyurethane adhesive but it would probably pull the paint off the whell when they're removed. Lol
