Im wrapping my whole car at present and its well fricken difficult! Almost every panel i have wrapped has some imperfections here and there, but for a first attempt, with cheap vinyl its not that bad. The roof and bonnet i did are almost perfect but the other panels.... not so much (i recon its due to the angle of the panels on the sides made it harder perhaps. Also I have been doing mine in my garden, the wind can only be described as your NEMESIS! But id rather a semi perfect finish than shell out £1,500 for a company to do it! (mainly coz i wouldnt be able to appreciate my wrapped acr as the wife would have killed me!)

I am not buying ready made halos, or a kit. my plan was to just bend the strip in a circle, and wire it t side lights, bish, bash bsh job done! this method will not be a solid circle, be more of a range rover halo. i rdered them yesterday. i have a spare headlight unit to practise on, so when they arrive ill see what i can do. ideally the leds are brigth enough to see during daylight (fingers crossed) as for undercar lighting i wouldnt drive around with it, it would be just for show. dunno what colour i would go for though...

meh, no where under a gen7 to easily mount neons any ways. DRL halos it is then, gonna buy some and see how bright they are in daylight.

ive found another seller that sells then in 30cm lengths for a few quid, these ones ae also more flexible (halo eyes maybe) so im gonna order some and have a play me thinks. also is under car lighting still cool? or is it sooooooo 10 years ago and a bit "the fast and the furious" also, do ya recon drls in the fog light holes will look good?

its morning and it started! woohoo! so im gonna put the old batt in my tsport and go to the shops, i need something for dinner anyway so its killing two birds with one stone (did you know chuck norris can kill two stones with one bird?!) that shud be about 30 mins driving as evouk suggested.

turns out after all night chargin it didnt have any juice in it at all, not even enough to light up the dash just incase the charger was no good, i decided to use jumper cables and connect it to my battery and leave it for half hour, i then started the car (first time in a year and it started perfectly straight away!) i then disconnected the cables and left it running for 90mins to see if it build up any charge. I turned it off, went for a walk with my wife and son and came back an hour later and tried to start it.... bingo bango, bobs ya uncle, Bada-bing Bada-boom, winner winner chicken dinner! So the battery is not completely dead which is good, tomorrow im gonna put that battery into my car and go for a drive. A few questions about the altinator charging it up: -will higher revs charge it faster? -how many miles/for how long do ya recon i need to drive to give it a good charge (so much for my mates charger!!)

Hi Im trying to charge my gen7 battery, its a toyota one and on it it says its 12v 65Ah. The charger my mate lent me says it has an output of 3.5Adc (5Arms) and that the charger is reccomended for use on batteries up to 40Ah So my battery has a higher capacity than reccomended, but i charge airsoft batteries against reccomendations all the time and they work fine so im hoping this charger is fit for purpose (even tho it may take ages) but i dont know the formula required to figure out how long i need to charge it for so someone please help me! I have just plugged it in (19:30) and im hoping it will be done at around getting up time of 07:30 thanks

after 4 hours of faffing with various spanners and sockets, filling it down a bit, lots of rusty bolt freeer upper spray etc etc and i gave up i took it to tye web where it was due a retest and told them of my miserable attempt. the geeza said "lets take a look" so he jacked it up, took the wheel off, had a ganders and then went "hhhmmm" he then walked off and rooted around a tool chest. he then returned with one of these: he then adjusted it to fit, got a grip of it ready to turn "surely not" i thought and bish bash bosh, of it came in 1 simple turn O_o I said to him that my 4 hours of spraying, hammer hitting and swearing at it obviously loosened it! he then said "you got ya pads with ya" which i did, and he put them on for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeee they even adjusted headlight beam angle for freeeeeeeeee too :D So mot passed, now im gonna buy me a big wrentch so it never happens again.

i used a ring spanner to begin with... the bolt head has 6 sides is it? my spanner has lots of sides, would oen thats a nice snug fit be better?

ive got a 13mm socket, but only a ratchet thingy for it, and i was told "never wrench a ratchet" so i need summat to go on the end of my socket, and it needs to be hard as nailes as i intend on belting it with a hammer. if this socke idea fails i will get my file out and file it down a bit and trying the next size down open ended spanner.

plenty of heat? will a heat gun do it?

My mot retest is tomorrow, and the front brakes need new pads. so i went out to do it, and had the drivers side all done in 15 minutes flat (not too shabby ) then it was onto pssengers side, jacked it up, wheel off top bolt loosened, then came the bottom one.... 40 minutes later and i was covered in wd40 and grease, the bolt is rounded so my 14" spanner no longer grips it (altho its not completely round) and i need to fix it first thing in the morning, but dont know what to do. help!

Hi I paid £40 for my local tyre place (road runners) to fit and balance four tyres i bought online. They did it and it ws all cool.... and then i did 60-70 and the steering wheel starts to shake, the faster i go the more violently it shakes, at about 90 its as if you are driving on cobble stones... at 90! now i know 3 of my wheels are slightly buckled, but they were not shaking at all before they fitted my new tyres. so its either, they have not balanced them correctly (what im thinking it is, and if so will get on the phone for a moan) or it has something to do with my tyres (really? best not be!) need urgent advice as i wanna get it sorted asap as i need to do some motorway driving later today!

yo yo yo project was abondoned as i didnt have the time to put into it (required a lot of sanding, and oil based paint takes sooooo long to dry that my car would have had to be off the road for a couple of weeks, and i need my cal almost every day for work) but what i did get done on the bodykit was just as good as what you can get with rattle cans or a compressor, just required tons more time and elbow grease. no ide how i would have held up to road use as it was never fitted, but the bumpers lived in my garden uncovered until the other day when i cleaned them on to experiment with vinyl wrap and they are in the exact condition i left them in... bright orange with brush strokes all over needing sanding, but alas i aint got time. u never know, maybe in the future when im rich enough to afford two cars

ive been driving like it for the best part of a year already... Im gonna make sure its fixed before mot though. so to remove the old one its a case of: -jack it up -remove wheel -remove caliper and disc -line up the broken bolt with the notch and the back -belt it with a hammer to get it out then how do i get the new one in? will it be a tight fit? will it need some whacking too?

Hi When I first got my car i took the wheels off to paint the calipers, only thing is i was a bit heavy handed when it came to putting them back on and i broke a bolt on the front. been driving it with only 4 ever since with no trouble and now its due for its mot in a couple of weeks, will it fail due to this? if so what do i need to do to fix it?

A few years ago I bought a celica other drivers may call it a silly car they say its all show and no go thats its a hairdressers car and im a homo but when lift kicks in with my foot on the floor i fly past them and my car aint so silly no more! oops my bad, not the type of rapping you were looking for...
