Could not agree more about brakes - nothing inspires more confidence than good brakes. They were the 1st things i upgraded too - shame it took so long to get em to fit though

Agree that power is nothing without control Im aining for big power but ive made sure the chassis is more than a match for over 500bhp

The Corolla Compressor is a wasted opportunity by Toyota - only 215bhp - should have been way way more and you cant really do a lot to up the power Id keep celica and go to Se7en as been said

Someone over on the OC had his 205 sprayed a very similar colour - looked very nice indeed. Some of the late spec cars did come in a colour similar to this

Yer i put a link upto that 98 ST205 the other day. Test drive a few cars - subaru , evo , GT4 and see what suits you best. All 3 are expensive but the servicing costs of subaru and evo far more than a GT4. All drink juice like george best on the piss and each has its pro's and con's The Gt4 has one main weak spot - the Supertrut suspension - but it does give incredible roadholding. I test drove a Impreza P1 - didnt get chance to give it the full beans but was fast however the build quality and interior plastics made me laugh

The GT4's 0-60 times stated by Toyota were very conservative - in reality its much faster and was understated as Toyotas flagship model the JZA80 supra wasnt going to look great if its little brother posted faster times

When i last drove mine in sept 09 at silverstone i had a great battle with a MR2 turbo - belonged to Jake from TSS so he is a decent driver Both had R888's and coilovers and roughly same power - 300bhp - and there was nothing in it. At higher horsepowers id say with less transmission losses the MR2 would be quicker - but as a few have said biggest factor is the driver

Never driven a Sw20 version in anger but had a AW11 and test drove the mk3 and both were fantastic little cars

I have a old copy of Jap tuner with a MR2 thrash day at bruntingthorpe A mildy modded MR2 with about 400bhp - i say mild as there are some real monster MR2's - anyway ran a 3.5 0-60 They are seriously quick pieces of kit

Nice looking motor - not sure on rims but thats not a crititism as a stunning looking car

Yer the bodykit was vile - and recipts for nearly £4.5K to supply , paint & fit!!!! However underneath it was / is pristine Only had 60'000km on it - so only 40'000miles in reality

Its been sat on drive and not moved a wheel in anger in 2 years now Its cost me in excess of £50K with what ive done to it However i bought her a GT4 too so she cant really complain Plus im fortunate that i get to spend money from the house i rent out - when it isnt being rented by c***s - and as i inherited the house its like free money really

No such thing as a cheap 205 You could buy it and find you have got the deal of the century but you could buy it and find it needs serious work and you WILL HATE the car and think its shit Get it properly checked out If it does need clutch , cam belt , SS components then by the time its sorted you could have bought autogloss valeting's mint 205 If you go for a look and it doesnt seem right walk away
