Hi I am doing disk and brake up grade on my Celica st 20 and I asked advice from freaky parts they do a lot of brake conversion kits or parts and they advised me to have grooved they favour this as to drilled reason that drilled may after time show some cracking only small surface but groves don’t do this and groves will give better long life so I went for groves only. I feel they know what they are talking about and they were very helpful the website is freakyparts.co.uk tel 07977 503430 hope this helps

Thats correct grooved and dimpled is better. Drilled can crack and I have even had it myself

Unfortunately the outcome was kinda messy and I am not sure on the main piece right now but see how that ends up when it's fully dry.

Trying to get an even coat with a brush over semi-dried glue requires more practice. However, do have access to an old compressor which, if I can get working, might make the next attempt better.

Man that was an arse to fit. Went smoothly till I got to the spring / lock washer. then when I got it back together the interior plastics wouldn't sit right. No worries I made them fit :laugh2:

By time I was finished it was too dark to take a photo. Will wack some up tomorrow

  5. I hoovered her out, Stripped all the plastics out in the back to tighten a nut on my light. whilst they were off I put a hole into then and fitted trim bits to make the hole pretty ready for the rear brace to be fitted tomorrow. I then reorganised my boot.

Oh and I got a free can of WD40. It was wedged between the inner and outer skin behind the alarm siren. looked like it had been there a while haha!

She is getting a wash tomorrow along with some prep ready for track in a couple of weeks.

  7. Yep I have had the car less than two weeks an I broke it whilst trying to park. The corner of the parking space was broken but I knew I could squeeze in. Unfortunately being new to the car I thought I was further over than I was. Whilst reversing I caught the bumper on the broken bit and it started to rip off. I stopped and moved over then checked out the damage. Will need a new wheel arch liner possibly if I cant repair it and the two broken mounting points on the bumper I can fix easy enough. Fortunately I was able to semi repair it with a 10mm spanner, a multi tool and a cable tie to keep me going till I can look at it.
