Was going to say the same
Realistic difference between a 1zz and 2zz is what? 30-40hp?
    They're hardly power monsters

Anyway, yes if this was worth 10 then Moo must be worth 20.

If money and space were no object I would by both and... Keep my ideas to myself as I would probably be lynched for just thinking it [emoji3]

30-40 is quite alot in terms of power too weight ratio and acceleration. I agree though its not like it's a standard clio compared to Renault sport clio.

And if I had the money I wouldn't buy this one but I definitely would buy moo.

  2. before you read this dont judge me

I think that this car is gorgeous. I love everything other than the fact it needs spacers, bigger and different wheels and tyres and needs a 2zz engine (so maybe not everything).

The only issue is he/she is pricing as if its a bass comp winning car and the speakers he/she has are just not that.  if the owner decided to sell it for what it is really worth it would go for 2-4k it would also probably get another k on top if it was the real celica with the 2zz engine in it.

  3. Definitely something missing here... Winter build is now in full swing. 2018 engine out, next to strip all the original electrics out and clean everything up before things start to go back in. With the exception of the engine underneath the engine bay will hardly be recognisable as a Celica by the end of the year.

I think I see what's missing... Is it the passengers seat?

  4. So there has been a lot of research on filters, foam allows a lot more air to come through compared to paper/cotton but doesn't filter out as much, the best paper/cotton filter for air intake is jetex (not sure if you can get it for a celica though) and the worst is k&n but k&n does filter the crap out better. I will try and find the link tomorrow, it's actually really interesting

Over the past couple of years i've noticed one of my front screen washer jets squirting off aim, projecting most of it's squirt too high up the screen so most would go on the roof

The thing is with these trivial problems, it's very easy to forget about them - until the next time you're out driving along the road again, and when washing the screen, say to one self, "i need to fix that when i get home", like you've said a hundred times before.

And then when you get home, it's one of those jobs of not much importance in the big scheme of things so very easy to forget all about...

until the next drive out onto the open road and one is reminded yet again about the naughty jet washer when pulling the screen wash lever and ...well you can see where this is going [ two years later ] Today between the showers and feeling bored indoors and wanting to get out for some fresh air, i found a pin, went out to the Celica and corrected the aim of that there washer jet. Jone done

Next job is replacing all the wiper blades, anyone got good recommendations?, and any makes to avoid?

I appreciate no-one has the patience to watch 45 mins of onboard but here it is anyway. Rockingham International SS Circuit Race Edit. I watched this while editing (if you can call it that) and then went back and watched the same video from 2017 when we were here. The power and noise difference between the two is quite something. Expectation is for another step change in 2019. Keep watching...

Watched all of this last night. (spoiler alert) i cant believe it only took you 13 mins to get to the back of the pack to overlap. I still think you need a rear facing camera as when your pulling away from everyone there isnt a lot to see . Great race though and still enjoyed watching

yes the cover will as it took me 8 hours by hand without a machine , i started with 240 /400/600/800/1000/1200/1500/2000 and finally finsihed with 2500 then autosol

also did you do one way either left to right or up and down as it was suggested to me if you do it different ways it will scratch the cover and not look so good plus i found very superfine wirewool helped too the finest you can buy , the top pic is after 5 years :) :

then you should end up with something like this
