  1. I like the black. But then, I would support lips being a different colour
  2. Those 7 wheels on the red 5 look better than they have ever done on the 7!
  3. Try and get someone outside of the car to listen to it if possible, it's amazing how often a noise that sounds like it's from the front is actually from the rear and vice versa.
  4. Happy 2 Anniversary Foogles!

  5. I don't like them, they make the Gen7 look German for some reason I cant explain
  6. Cheers. I also heard that misting with clear lacquer at the same time helps with this too?
  7. I have loads of bits left over from painting my wheels and centre console. An extra can of primer and some 2000 grit wet&dry and I'll be good to go so even with paint it'll cost me less than £50 to do. I have a week off work soon so I'm more than happy to put the time into doing a good job with it. I enjoy doing too, it was really satisfying doing the wheels and centre console
  8. Thanks for that, that seems like a good guide to follow
  9. 52mm is plenty big enough then, the dragon should look great Yes the wheel is small, it's 30cm/12 inches in diameter. The standard wheel is 14 inches I think so it's quite a difference. I'm very much used to it now and wouldn't go back. It's very weird driving the family Rav4 now, it feels like a boat
  10. Cheers What grit wet&dry would you recommend starting with? I think I started with 400 on my wheels but the lip isn't metal so I'm not sure what to start with?
  11. My front lip is a stone chipped mess and I'm planning to repaint it soon and I am looking for some advice regarding how to paint it. It's already painted so I don't know the best way to go about it? Sand it down fully so all the current paint is off then primer/paint as if it were new? Sand it down partially to roughen up the surface and primer/paint it? (this is what I did with my wheels) Or just clean it as much as possible to remove all wax/polish and spray over that with just the paint so it blends with the paint already there? Any help would be great!
  12. What size are your wheel caps? My steering badge was 44mm and Darren said I couldn't go any smaller if I wanted to keep the white outline detail so just bear that in mind if your wheel caps are smaller than 44mm. Cant wait to see them, I love the dragon logo and intend on having it appear in a few other places on my car soon....
  13. Just email him, that's all I did darrenharding59@hotmail.com I emailed him last Friday but didn't get a reply til Monday so dont be surprised if you don't hear back over the weekend but during the week his replies were nice and quick
  14. Celica dragon Really impressed with the job locking-vinyl did with it, ill probably get him to do my wheel caps if ever I need to change them.
  15. I got my custom steering wheel badge from locking-vinyl today and it's beautiful I thought about both of those you've posted but went with something a bit different in the end. I'll take some pics tomorrow when I fit it
  16. Do prefacelift TSport seats have darker stitching or are mine just in need of some kind of cleaning? They're quite a dark grey colour and I'm dubious about a pen working on them....
  17. Wish I could put V Power in mine, the nearest Shell garage is 25+ miles away
  18. Is this resistor what I need for my Gen 7 airbag? http://ebay.us/ZjRkc0
  19. I wondered why mine was covered in brown spots yesterday when I washed it. I gave up polishing it in the end because every time the wind blew it looked like it had been sprinkled with brown caster sugar
  20. Sad news Hope to see you in another one. I think id probably give the Gen5 a try if my TSport was ever written off. I think a RWD MR2 is the last thing you should get given your driving in the wet though
  21. I would. That black surround doesn't really match anything so it seems silly keeping it. When I did my centre console I toyed with doing the speedo surround the same colour. As I was using orange I decided that could be too much orange so decided to spray the cubby hole flap black to match the speedo surround instead.
  22. Looks really good actually, it somewhat modernizes the back end of the car. Go for it.
  23. It sure is. I just found the picture on my phone, I took it just before I took the wheels off for painting - Before (yuck ) After
  24. Looking good It's amazing what a nice looking centre cap does for the wheels. I was looking at an old picture of my wheels yesterday and they really did look dreadful with the scratched up caps and kerbed alloys.
