  1. Black Betty now officially a right dirty bitch and staying that way until the weekend abr maybe a squirt with the hose to get the worst off. Other fish to fry. Hey ho.
  2. Nice Is that from a Knite pic? The one on the December page of the calendar?
  3. Plenty of these on ebay from about 7.50 upwards all sorts of colours.
  4. ^^^ This. Also your local paint factor will mix you up a unique paint at a third of the Halfrauds cost as I found out. The hard way. DOH!
  5. Yup! Discussed my personal requirements with FP. Was advised drilled no real advantage for road use and have ( very rare) chance of problems. Grooved give small water clearance assist and look a bit better. Mtec grooved & Mintex pads, Fresh fluid, braided hoses and master cylinder brake stop. Would have gone for black discs and avensis calipers had I known more at the time but they work substantially better than when I bought the car. The biting point is still behind most modern cars but my subconscious is now reprogrammed accordingly! They stop fine and no noise at all.
  6. for getting cutting residue out of stonechips perchance? I tried it last year with not a lot of success. Where did I go wrong? Just got some black polish out of desperation!
  7. yeah, I shall be making my mistakes on my sons cars first Low rpm and white pad on mine! Got a reasonable finish with a cheap da last year. Whilst mine will never be showroom again without the whole front end being sprayed, due to stone chips, I think with a bit of time and effort I can have it pretty tidy for the summer.
  8. So encouraging. Please don't breed. This country can't afford the therapy bill for your offspring. So having practiced with a DA last year it's time to move on. Cheers Princy the one below winging its way south west, duly discounted and with a selection of pads.
  9. oh well in for a penny I guess. The kids will be paying half as it's my birthday and their cars that need doing up to sell. Shiney FTO & MX5 anyone? Thanks, I appreciate the advice.
  10. Thanks. Current favourite, very similar spec amchine 3 year warranty and about 30 cheaper or can buy as part of kit. Will decide over lunch. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silverline-Professional-Rotary-Polisher-Autoglym-Paint-Pro-Polishing-Kit-/261319819264?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item3cd7e00000 Dublet, Chris, both talking DA machines I think. Going to have a pop with full rotary jobbie Hmmmm Princy, whats the double gearing thing on your suggestion and how do you know the discount code?????
  11. Need to buy one pronto. 3 cars to do as soon as it stops b****y raining!!!! what have you got? What to avoid? ideas please. Cheers.
  12. I know the feelin Heeps. Finished work one day , went to car on street parking and a lorry had taken out the whole side of it, written off, driven off! Still, it was a brown austin princess so it was understandable! If you arent in a hurry I will be seeing some of your kilted cousins at Japfest in May. I will have my new spoiler on in a couple of weeks. You are welcome to the old one if they will ferry it north for you. HTH
  13. OOOoooooo! Nice! all we get down ere is bloody combine 'arvetsers!
  14. Oh how I missed you at the weekend.....................so just sit still whilst I draw a bead.................
  15. oh lord that just took me back 27 years to my eldests first poo. Isn't it an amzing mix of rainbow colours!!!
  16. thats fine but do you still have a spare gt4 up your jumper??? errr I take that as a no not yet but going to replace the last of the gt4s then. Nice!
  17. One is confused. I thought you weren't going to Ace as you were one short on the Celi front. I have seen the yellow peril in various stages of decline but not t'other one unless that one was in the parking bay down the road. Are you in fact merely down to your last gt4 plus new gen 7 coming?
  18. A frequent refrain (and yes the silly sods should have made it a true 2 litre 200 bhp job. Bah!) but where are you going to find better looks, reliability, economy and performance for the money? Exactly. You have the right car for your budget. Until we win the lottery we must cut our cloth accordingly. Boring but true! A couple of extra grand would put you in say a 350z . I know Kev likes them but whilst the power is nice the looks and practicality and weight of the things puts me off.
  19. Hats off to Darryl, when they nail his lid down he won't be complaining "what if?" TSport , 205, alpha and TSport plus se7ens cams all in 12 months??!!?? Have hummed and hahed over the same question. For me right now I am comfy in my car and will be happy with some minor tinkering for a year or two, then I will review and a 205 will be on the list of maybe's. I'd be more likely to have one down here than in London though!
  20. I havent used them personally but I have seen various recommendations for Powerflow. They are a national chain. Google it and you can enter your postcode on their site to find your nearest dealer.
