  1. Thats expensive for what it is! Cool as though. Alot of american cars come with that kind of thing as a manufacturers option.
  2. These would look the nuts in your car Liam. Just as long as it didnt say 'spyder'
  3. I cant tell the difference Hope you get the rears sorted mate. I'd offer to help but i dont think looking at the rear strut blankly will do much
  4. I might be wrong on this but im sure the fins/deflectors on the front bumper are illegal in the UK. Sure i saw a topic about those on a Gen 6 a while back. Looks absolutely mint in the orange though bud!
  5. Take it back straight away, sounds like the balancing/tracking is out.
  6. Ill second this. since new year i have seen at least 3 per day on the drive to and from work compared seeing 2 or 3 per week last yaer. Leeds/bradford area but they are multiplying!!! Where are they all coming from! Have seen a drop off in the gen 6 though. used to be loads of gt4s in bradford.
  7. Shame you abandonned it, good look wrapping!
  8. He's not logged on since last year i couldnt find the thread by searched his member name either booooooooooooo! He actually managed to get a pretty decent finish from what i remember.
  9. What ever happened to the member who started doing this? I'v had a search for the thread & cant find it. I lost track of it last year & forgot about it. I cant remember who it was but they bought a bumper & hand painted it ST Orange i think. Anyone remember who it was / was it you?
  10. F**k the MOT failure mate, its not safe to drive with 4 for an extended period of time!
  11. Your asking the question so its pretty obvious you feel attached to it so keep it for sure! Declare it SORN & its something to look forward to when you return from Cyprus EDIT: Forgot to say, leave it on a trickle charge, make sure its clean & covered, try to get a garage, leave the handbrake off & put bricks infront & behind the wheels to make sure it doesnt roll away.
  12. i got all 5 windows on ine done for about 130 quid so i would have thought around the 80 quid mark? EDIT: I tried to tint the windows on my old car, its really f'ing hard to do it & get a good finish! I would pay someone to do it to be honest.
  13. Ill be honest, i have 27mm spacers on the back of mine & none on the front (13mm spacers not fitted yet) and i couldnt tell the difference for everyday driving. I know most Merc's have much wider wheels on the back than the do on the front, albeit they are mostly rear wheel drive.
  14. Disconnect the battery? Only if its getting really really bad though.
  15. The government are making insentives to sell bio fuel or E85 (85% ethanol content compared to 5% minimum in normal fuel) but there are massive issues with storing it. Because the fuel has a biological content, the climate inside fuel storage vessels (at petrol stations & in your car!!!) promote growth of foreign organisms (literally big fuck-off mushrooms) if there is any water content. It is near impossible to prevent water ingress into a fuel storage tank so i cant see it catching on. Most people in the industry are very wary of the product itself, especially retailers who risk wasting masses of cash on their fuel stock.
  16. It CAN give better fuel consumption and increased bhp /performance. however, this is selecive marketing. for this to happen, a car must be suffering from decreased mpg and performance due to issues with fuel. The higher the octane fuel, the cleaner it burns as far as i understand. honestly, i dont think on either the 140 or 190 engines require premium fuel unlike some bigger more powerful engines that can be damaged from lower octane fuel. One of my friends has an impreza wrx sti running at around 450 bhp that needs premium fuel and a boat load of addatives to ensure the engine runs at full capacity. im sure some of the mechanics on here will be able to explain more.
  17. I work in the fuel industry, try to stay clear of supermarket fuel. They negotiate a price around 1p per litre cheaper from the distributor & therefore get an inferior product to your franchise & company owned sites. Shell V-Power is one of the best premium fuels out there for the quality of fuel but it all depends on how its stored. If the tanks are old they are single skinned steel & more often than not have a build up of crap in the bottom which then gets transferred to yours. If the fuel you put in your car is really important to you then id advise filling up at the newest looking oil company site on your journey. Hope that helps. EDIT. Forgot to mention about Morrisons, they dont like spending money on their forcourts so alot of them have poor quality tanks & filters. Not saying avoid them at all costs, just something to bear in mind.
  18. Clicky Iv been having a look at these (the black ones) for a while now but not sure if they would look a bit tacky on my Tsport wheels.
  19. Honestly mate, its all plastic so i wouldnt use any products on it, just hot soapy water & a really good rinse with a jetwash will have it looking new. Using products like engine degreaser will ruin the finish on the plastic & pick up dirt quicker than it does now.
