ever since we used to use a crappy Autolok handbrake lock on my old Mini and Clio, I've always enjoyed the bright yellow physical deterrant.
Due to the off-set configuration of the Celica's handbrake and gearstick I bought an wheel lock from Halfords, and use it all the time.
Thatcham approved gave me a little piece of mind, and the big yellow arm serves as a visual deterrant for opportunists
Alarms are only useful if you're nearby and can hear it, otherwise people just tend to ignore them

A new lens.

Prices will vary across the country, the bonnet is a large expanse of pretty flat metal so a good finish is vital.
That's probably about £80ish cheaper than a London guy would charge.
If he can guarantee immaculate and a very good colour match (and you've seen some of his work before), then it's a good deal. Lots of people find that colour matching the Toyota colours can be quite difficult.

wow, that's a lotta headlights!

Thats not a common comment I get to be honest. The one I always get which is my biggest bugbear is people commenting how I spent lots and lots of money to make standard power!!! Rarrr!
-
I think you can all guess what the most annoying comment I get about my car is
"what on earth is wrong with your idle?"
-
there's a fine line between good mental, and crazy mental. Make sure she's defintiely the first one before you put a ring on it
A naked female passenger sounds like fun though especially in these low temps, there's always somewhere to hang your house keys
-
I wouldn't class that as an annoying thing someone's said about your car....
-
The guy who lives next to my mum and dad gets a brand new car every time a new reg plate comes out! And he only seems to drive them the 20 min trip to the office and back!
Always a brand new Jag for him, and a brand new Mini for his wife. Both rarely seem to leave the driveway outside of office hours, and every weekend he's out washing/waxing them.
This year his wife got the new Polo though... so that was a little excitment.
They must have some form of contract with the main dealer, or it's a company car scheme... at least I hope so, otherwise he must lose a shitload in depreciation each year just to have the latest numberplate.
you buy something you don't want, with money you haven't got, to impress people you don't like.
that pretty much used to be my signature on here
Buying things I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't know.
Pretty much sums up the car-scene

that's pretty cool!!

"Wow, awesome Yaris!"
...said no-one ever
*sigh*
Haha, I do actually get a few compliments, generally about how sporty-looking and 'clean' it is.
The Celica just received a never-ending stream of compliments though.

Ooooo, that's your car, I won't be needing these knickers then

A very nice Yaris
thank you
-
Because it's just a Yaris.
Hey! The Yaris has won industry awards for it's awesomeness
Annoying things people say about your car:
"it's just a Yaris"
-
it's too loud
it's too low
All about the 7 obviously, not my Yaris.
Not a bad word said about the Yaris

:o a confession from the modder in chief?
devilspawn blue. I like that. Have you got a spare tin? The bottom wipes at carpaints4urusmcdonaldswines tin of Stormblue got lost in post so I have to go to show with BB chipped to b*ggery.
Haha, well the scoop was from my Astral Black 140 and I put it on the STORM BLUE T-Sport when I bought it. I got it resprayed when I had the Brashboy spoiler fitted, but it really wasn't very noticeable in the run-up to that
I gave my carpaints4you touchup kit to the new owner...
It had a few non-perfect bits so a respray is best I think. It's outside now hanging in the tree in the sunshine sporting it's much nicer AB coat. Give it a some hours (during which I shall attack the pit of hell that is the engine compartment with some scrub-up kit) then a few passes with the Tcut and polish and should be good to go
fair enough STORM BLUE is a lovely colour in the sunshine
-
fit it and then see what you think.
I had a black Sports M scoop on my storm blue Celica for 6 months or so, and could never tell the difference unless it was bright and sunny and I was looking carefully up close.
On the rear and in the position it is, unless the handle actually needs to be resprayed you could prob get away without doing it

VW do a Pearl Black which is nice
