  1. We currently have 18 members displaying their car on our club stand and I have filled my allocation of spaces. BUT, I know they will let me add a couple more if anyone else is interested in joining us. 8 cars are also doing a slow Parade Lap, which is a £20 ticket for the car including all passengers. All the details are in the topic link here

  2. There are just 2 car spaces left on the JDM Combe  (Castle Combe Circuit) club stand for Sat 30th May. Sign up as soon as possible to secure one if you wish to attend.

There are quite a few spaces available for JapShow (Santa Pod) Sun 10th May, but again, please sign up to take advantage of being on our club stand as soon as possible.

A new show for our club is JDM Jam at Donington Park, Monday 25th May. Plenty of spaces currently.

Details for these meetings are in the Meetings Forum.

  3. If you would like to take your car to one of the prestigious national car shows and display it on our stand, take a look at the various shows coming up this year at which we will be present.

There are two coming up in May and we would love you to sign up as soon as possible so that we secure the maximum number of display vehicles. Your car does not have to be immaculate by any stretch of the imagination!!! Your presence, company and car make for a fun day 😊

JapShow at SantaPod Sun 10th May

JDM Combe at Castle Combe Circuit Sat 30th May

Take a look in Meetings forum https://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/forum/3-meetings/

  4. Every year we attend a number of brilliant national car shows and have a Celica Club stand for members to display their cars. There is info about several of these shows for you to sign up to in the Meetings Forum section   https://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/forum/3-meetings/

The tickets for JapShow and JapShow Finale are available for Club Members to buy at the heavily discounted Winter Saver price until 31st January  - so don't delay if you want to save some money!!

Club Display tickets will still be available after this date, but costing a bit more.

  5. I completely missed this earlier, well done on a successful photoshoot! How exciting to be a part of the event and see the whole process through to the production of the magazine. We will look out for it this week.

We had a black Capri JPS with the gold lines and gold wheels back in the late 1970s until 1981. Wish we had it now - it was a great headturner in the 1970s! I think it's only looking back now that we all appreciate so many of these iconic cars :D. Great to see yours looking so good!

    Hi all,

Just joined the club and figured I'd say hi here, I've seen this group in the Goodwood show and appreciated the display there.

Here's my Celica on a really really good day

Well done on signing up for full membership :wttc:

I think we met at the Classic JapFest at Goodwood last Autumn. We did have a good turnout for that, and we have another stand there for this year. The show will take place over two days this time, with track available on the Sat, Sunday just club displays as last year. Add your name to the list :D

Do take a look at all the upcoming meets this year - all listed and explained in the Meetings forum. You don't have to have a perfect car to be on the club stand - most of us have a few dings, scratches etc!!

  7. Hi Yellcell - welcome to the club. :wttc:

There aren't many yellow ones around, so you will always stand out in a crowd :D

How did you get to hear about us? Just curious!!

Take a look at all the meetings coming  up this year - tickets for the club stand still available for all of them with the exception of JapFest, at Silverstone which sold out very quickly. If you can make it to a few, you will meet lots of supportive members and get to see some cars., as well as displaying your car on our club stand.

  8. Tapatalk was nice initially, but the IT guys did look into it, and it seems a lot of websites dropped it because of concerns.

I use my mobile for CUKK whenever I am on the go and it is an icon on my first page for quick access. Loading photos from your photo gallery is easy too. I can't remember how I got the icon on my page :D. I think I just navigated to the website and put it as a shortcut. Someone else will tell us, I am sure!

I finally watched this last night, some interesting quotes by Nicky Grist... 1000 RC's left in the world?? Is there anyway to fact check this?

    Great show overall.

There are various websites that list the different variants of Carlos Sainz cars such as GpA Rallye, RC and CS - but I don't think there is a definitive way of establishing exactly how many of each are left. Newly discovered ones come out of the woodwork, some get dismantled for parts if they are beyond saving,. So it is really hard to say. It will be interesting to find out from Nicky Grist how he arrived at that figure.
