  1. You would certainly think so, but I have neglected her for 2 years
  2. 23 years Toyota techy and a couple of years Toyota sales executive. Luckily I never weighed the Snap On chest and contents to the local scrappy  Cheers David, I might come to the track one day and get a few pics, it would be good to catch up with a few on the club. I'd forgotten pal, scrub your post and we be non the wiser Might be a bit late this year but I will try to meet up at events, it would be good to meet up.
  3. Awe thanks Splinter for the warm welcome And thanks for the maintenance tips
  4. After around 2 years not driving the Celica thus loosing interest in the Celica club/scene, I should soon be back. Soon I will be handing the keys to my demo back and the Celica will be back on the road. I have a new battery arriving tomorrow and I will fit it and fire the engine up. I just have 2 years of grime to polish off
  5. 86, better looking and better drive
  6. Hi an older fellow has contacted me regarding a Cabriolet he has owned since 1999, the car has been garaged for 12 years. Details are very sketchy but are as follows: Auto box with 3S-GE engine. Red with white wheels. 4 Wheel steering. 1991 on a H reg. 40,000 miles or KM, owner not sure which. Bodywork described as excellent, I would inspect if anyone was interested. The car is JDM, imported to USA then here in 1999. Cut a long story short the customer is ill and needs to get shut, I have offered to help him do so without taking anything from him. If anybody is seriously interested I am willing to have a look at the car and take some images. Cheers, Andy
  7. Happy 5 Anniversary planc!

  8. I just asumued the initial use of open end spanner might have slightly rounded the points. Of the large numbers of struts I have removed from Celica lids I have always used heat and an open end spanner and never had to cut one off or use a socket.
  9. They are fitted with a lock thread solution, warm the area up with a heat gun or hair drier and use a quality spanner like a Snap On or MAC Tools. Cheap open end spanner's will just round them off.
  10. That would be a bit too easy for me with Toyota been the only official place to get a Car Red Nose. I better leave it for somebody else.
  11. I'm struggling to find the light house in either picture
  12. And that bloody work in my favour, didn't it?
  13. Come on! Miniature Gen 7 in palm parked next to Wimbledon court on BBC and a token "80's poster tennis pose"
  14. Well I am taking my racket and ball home!
  15. Happy Anniversary planc!

  16. Without the spacers, the bottom of the shift touches the floorpan. http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?t=210641
  17. Not really, the short shift is shorter at the top but longer at the bottom. That's the reason for the spacers. Without the longer throw at the bottom, this would make shifting pretty hard.
  18. GT-86 ain't about straight line speed, general public dismiss it on fact and figures. The Press rag it and rate it.
  19. She might be new to the trade, we all have to start in a new trade and need a little time to adjust. They are trained to know about UK spec cars so SS-||| isn't relevant, and we only imported GT4's with SuperStrut, and the Carina E GTI had it too. If the staff at the centre started recently they wouldn't know. Old timers like me do though but still haven't needed to as yet.
  20. MMMM I quite like a Costa Latte. Can I did this but with my spanking Auris?
  21. If you mean the 4 black clips with the 8mm studs, you can only get them from Toyota. They are about a quid each but the nuts are extra.
