I found the Goodyear Ulragrip are good.
Dont agree with what Dublet said when it comes to winter/snow tyres if you only get two they need to go on the drive wheels to be able to keep you going in snow. Recommend getting four though otherwise there is the danger of the back end stepping out.
I just had two last winter, it worked fine for me but my distance to work is just under 4 miles and i wasnt doing much other driving than that in the baddest weather.
Was a hell of a difference and would recommend keeping a second set of wheels stashed in a corner with some on if poss to save good wheels as well
Mine 15's with a 55 or 60 profile and the narrower the better they are in the snow too. Mine are 195's iirc
edited seeing this has reminded me to buy some more , just done
tis a good time to get them before prices and availablity change

Large car parts in the living room! I'd get shot if I tried that!
I got 2 sets of gen 6 leather seats and all the live sound panels for the 185 in mine , the shed was full

nope, i took my exhaust to a Powerflow franchise i was recommended to use, they said would do it for me if i needed , wouldnt imagine it would be expensive - £35 to £45 would think

^^ this is what my exhaust fitter said after fitting the aftermarket one i'd got from ebay that was advertised as 'not too loud'

Stick a request on Shiply.com too. You should get better prices coming at you after the initial higher ones and to the seller it can be just the same as you collecting. Twice i have used someone who doesnt require stuff to be packed up. They have blankets, cushions on board to protect and take care of the stuff like you would.
Worth a try

Today I donned my best beige slacks and jacket to pay homage to that hero of early Top Gear programmes, William Woollard. I've posted the man himself first for reference.
I think this qualifies as fancy dress
Mr C wins
Whats the next challenge going to be?.......

205 and keep/make standard
185's are great but you already have projects on the go and these are of age now where they need bits done, mine is needing fuel lines and prob brake lines while at it
205 iirc is faster and its the driving the 205 your missing......

must admit i did too when i first heard of them.
have seen some good feedback from people who've used them over the last couple of years iirc

I did but i'd already studied it
I want one of them one day

What the !@@!? was on the Jag at Johnnys?
Was it the new Jag?
If so probably the sports exhaust they come with, with a sports button to open it up too

Ouchie, lucky escape there

Shell seems to be the clear favourite here then
Will have to take a look at the loyalty card in more detail, I probably only spend about £200 a month on fuel so can't imagine I'll be getting loads back!
Sure you'll be surprised at how little, but as said above, every little helps so if going to use it anyway might as well have the card - which reminds me i need to activate mine........

Shell everytime
Except at the moment our local garage has only one pump of it and it keeps breaking down they got proper moaned at earlier

I don't mean to be rude but im making no headway with recovering my gear, so I need a little set up.
Can i be of any help?
No one ever suspects a blonde girl.........

Sounds good me too, i was quoted nearly £300 for bonnet alone on a previous one, with no dent correction or anything needed
-
lmao i hadnt thought of that
Ok to make it a bit easier just the owner of the celica next to the car in some sort of fancy dress get up ........
-
Hmmm..... I've got no insane friends that would do this with me and I haven't got a costume either...
No need to have a professional costume
i.e borrow girlfiends/mums clothes/handbag etc or a white sheet over you and you're a ghost............endless.......if its made up its 10 times better than a costume

My heatshield rattle thats becoming more annoying, its been up on ramps at local garage but they couldnt pinpoint where as it runs from front to back on the vert, is that different to others? i didnt think it would be but they wanted me to book it in to have the exhaust taken off it so they could find it.....
Winter (all weather) tyres
in Consumable Parts

speed rating of T is safe for speeds up to 118mph should be fine as hardly going to be going that speed in the snow, the problem comes if they are left on as the weather gets a bit easier and forget, i dont do those sort of speeds anyway but wouldnt want to be pushing tyres to the limit. I did that melting a whole set of discount tyres on my scirocco and they twisted, luckily didnt blow out on the motorway.
the ones i have gone for are H rated, good for up to 130mph but that was just what they happen to be as i dont need speed rated one necessarily, The wheels will be swapped back soon as weather is better.
size sounds fine
