  1. Yeah, I passed a police car hiding between the hedges on the York ring road. There was no way you could see them until you passed. Seemed like a sneaky trick to me!
  2. Bad times! I live in York and work in Elvington so I'd better watch my ass! :S
  3. Awesome Theres a few videos of that celica on youtube which I'm sure you've all seen so I won't bother reposting, but I sure do enjoy watching it!
  4. Yeah, same for mine. You can cut them in lengths of multiples of three LEDs, so 9 in a strip, 12 in a strip, 15 in a strip etc etc etc. To get your new wires on all you gotta do is get a nice sharp knife, and cut away the sticky tape on the back, and scratch away at at the underside until a small section of the copper strips are exposed at one end. I'd then test the strip with a battery to check you've exposed the contacts enough but it should be easy enough. Then just solder your wires onto the contacts on the bottom and you're good to go. If you've got some heat shrink then stick that over the top for a bit of extra protection, although this isn't essential. Hope that helps mate
  5. That Sports M has been for sale for literally about 3 years now from WRC in bradford. I think they've got an orange and black blitz supercharged gen7 thats been for sale for a similar amount of time. Judging by the ebay location of West Yorkshire my money is that WRC is probably the seller still! I agree though that they can't shift them cos they're both huge eye-sores!
  6. I just got a touchup kit from Mr T to make sure its the same colour. As usual the little brush you get is rubbish so I'd use your own one, but apart from that its a pretty much perfect match. Comes with a little pot of gloss too which is handy. In general I can't complain about the kit, and thats on a chili red celica which is generally pretty tricky to match to. Can't remember how much it was but it wasn't a fortune. A fiver maybe
  7. In terms of the thread topic the Fiesta is probably faster over 1/4 mile, but I gotta side with CelicaBen on this one if we're talking which one I personally prefer Edit: Correct typo
  8. I pulled these images off Wrapper Delights (Richard is it? I can't remember but I know I've met you at a sheffield meet before!) corporate page, I really hope he doesn't mind, but they illustrate what I was getting at. The buttons and dials arn't wrapped. Hope this helps Edit: Those pic embeds didnt seem to work, so heres the links. Dunno what went wrong there! Standard Climate
  9. I think people just don't wrap the buttons, that way you keep the symbols and the backlights, and as for the screen you could make a template of the screen and then carefully cut the wrap away from the screen when you're done. I dunno though, I'm sure one of the wrapping geniuses will be along soon Edit: Oh, I think I read your post too quickly and missed the point! Are you talking about the standard climate controls, not the aircon ones? If so I see the dilema, that could be tricky. I'd be interested to see what solutions any comes up with
  10. It wasn't me who posted the thread, but I did refurb my gen7 standard 16" alloys, which are now on the car as my winter wheels. I did that by getting a wirebrush drill bit (just a cheap one for a couple of quid), used that to brush off all the paint and corrosion and get back to the bare metal, then I used a course sandpaper and some elbow grease to get any scratches from the brush smoothed out. Next I used fine wet and dry (and lots of patience!), then I sprayed them with etch primer, about 4 or 5 coats per wheel using wet and dry between coats to get a nice smooth finish. To finish them off I gave them two or three coats of silver (the best match I could get to the original colour) and several coats of clear laquer. I know this hasn't exactly answered your question, but bottom line, I used a two quid wire brush in an electric drill and get pretty good results! I'm at work at the minute so I can't upload any pictures right now, but I can do if you're interested in the level of finish I achieved. Hope thats of some help mate
