  1. I would reluctantly, that's the least I would let it go for Hi Cheltgirl, yes it's been some time. Hope you are well. Thoroughly enjoyed those Prescott meets
  2. Just retired, bought a campervan, so very reluctantly am selling my Celica. Best car I have ever owned, in 14 years it has never let me down. Having not sold a car for at least 14 years I am well out of the loop when it comes to pricing - you guys got an idea of what I should be asking for it ?? Details are as follows: Other than the suspension being lowered, all mechanical and suspension parts are standard. Year 2000, 140bhp, mileage 185,000 - runs as good now as when I bought it (has never suffered from the dreaded oil top-up issue for pre-facelift Celicas). Full service twice per year, every year. Clay bar and waxed every 3 months. USB/Bluetooth head unit (hands free phone calls, play music etc. from phone to head unit). Subtley modified, has and still does turn heads. Kaminari front & rear bumpers, rear lip spoiler, GT skirts, 18” 3SDM wheels, low profile tyres, halo headlights with DRL’s, smoked rear lights, interior soundproofed from boot to bulkhead including door cards, side panels and headlining. Colour coded sunroof and centre console, unique dash fascia, limited edition 'Celica Blue’ seats, carbon fibre style dipped engine plastics. Any suggestion on price would be appreciated. Thanks
  3. ..................... or you could buy Cravo's (brand new) Kaminari front bumper that he's selling real cheap
  4. This, so far, is the first week in 2 years that I haven't had a compliment on my car. Since having it resprayed 2 years back, fitting kaminari bumpers and 3sdm wheels, every week (until now ) I have had random people approach me and comment on the car. When I've been in other towns I have had people come up to me, comment on the car and tell me what town I am from and exactly where I live because they had seen it when they were in my hometown and remember it. Of course, the mods were done purely because I liked it that way but have to admit it is nice to know it's appreciated by others............ and that people recognise good taste

  8. My manager and I had a brief conversation that went like this: Me: Why do you park your car (passenger side) so close to my car ? (to my drivers side) MGR: because I think it's funny Me: but I could open my door and hit your car and both our cars may get damaged MGR: don't care mines a company car Me: so you think it's funny if I damage my car then? MGR: Yeah Me: Really? I'm telling you now you won't be f**cking laughing if I damage my car, of that much I can f**cking assure you! MGR:QUICK EXIT STAGE LEFT pr**k There really are some selfish b**tards out there.
  9. Is the paintshield at all noticeable, can you see any difference in the colour of the front from the rest of the car?
  10. Expensive bit of kit, it seems. Paintshield quoted me: Standard kit: Bumper, part bonnet (wrapped edges), part wings (inner edges wrapped) wing mirrors: £585.00 + vat Full Front kit: Bumper, full bonnet (wrapped edges), full wings (inner edges wrapped), wing mirrors: £1300.00 + vat
  11. Is this the firm HERE ? The Xpel Ultimate seems really good but was interested to see if anyone had had anything similar on their car. Just been quoted £300 by THIS company for just the full bonnet.
  12. Anyone got any experience or advice about paint protection films? Thinking of having it done to the front bumper and bonnet of my newly painted 7.
  13. 'Dogs bllox that is' - had that more than a few times and since it was sprayed blue have had loads of people shouting to me as I drive past 'nice car mate' Funniest was a 91 year old woman who saw me getting in the car and said 'ooh I like your car, that's really nice'. (cue dublet  )
  14. I've just got a bit of kerbing around the outside of 2 wheels. Bought some of that metallic filler stuff today, will probably have a bash at it this weekend.
  15. Wish I could say the same, unfortunately she told me yesterday that she actually prefers my car when it was silver
  16. "Aren't you a bit old to be modding a car". Get this quite a lot. Yes I am, do I care? NO - always wanted to do it and am going to bloody do it! My daughter delights in telling me, because it's lowered, "In a few years you won't be able to get in that car" - wanna bet? I'll get in it if it kills me.
  17. Nice job with the wheels I'm inspired to have a go at the set I've had locked up in the garage.
  18. Can't see any light / mid blues on their site.
  19. Anyone know of any colours that are 3 stage pearl? in particular I am looking for a 3 stage pearl in light to mid blue. Thanks.
  20. Thanks, that answers my question. IT IS expensive. I'm not wanting a show standard car though; just a really nice looking 13yr old motor. I've been looking around to see if I can find one that I can go look at, but so far haven't found anything. Already found it - Zephyr Blue Metallic paint code 8n0 . Trouble is, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, it's a hell of a gamble to paint the car based on an internet pic. Would really want to see the colour in reality before I choose. Thanks for the link. I see the icy blue as the safe option because it is not too dissimilar from silver and I have actually seen one locally. Just wondering if I should go for an ever so slightly more blue colour. It's bloody difficult choosing a colour, I don't see cars anymore; just colours.
  21. Loads of posters have mentioned having a candy colour. I checked with HOK and they want £42 for a US quart - just under a litre. Having no idea of the cost of paint, is this expensive? and are there other costs likely to be incurred because it's a candy? The guy doing it for me inferred that I may have to pay more if I wanted Renault liquid gold because it's a 3 stage pearl, so is using candy more work than a 3 stage pearl? the same? or ?????????
  22. this one? Got no chance of finding the colour code as it's just a photoshop that someone did. Shame really 'cos it looks fantastic. I'll leave the sheepskin to you mate whatever floats ur boat hey. 10 Welsh players and we scored 31 of the 41 points - no need for a lion, the dragon still breathes fire!
