  1. a celica, and before that an almera, and before that a celica, and before that a civic
  2. All too common. So easy to rip off people images, Every now and them my photos turn up in Google image search, which is why I only upload 800x600 to the web and all have a watermark in the corner.
  3. I see you're ready to lend them a shoulder to cry on Dan!
  4. Springs definitely will work, shocks might not match up at the bottom. Definitely won't fit superstrut.
  5. The arguement for having the most tread on the rear is you can feel the front ofthe car misbehave and drive sensibly as a result, on the rear you don't notice/care and forget and have an accident. Of course it means nothing if all four tyres are different makes, as you will have completely different grip levels under differing conditions at each corner.
  6. Now you didn't show us the lightpainted cock over on TP did ya!
  7. That cannot be a safe way of mounting wheels surely? Would definitely need the rightspigot rings - can you imagine how much hassle it must be to try and line one of these up over the studs too?
  8. That must be a French thing, UK and jap cars don't have them. Using the engine under least load will improve your fuel economy, you need to trade that off with revs. In a flat 30mph zone you'll get better mpg from being in 5th and just letting it cruise along than having it in 3rd with your foot on the throttle a bit. Hoever if you're going uphill you'll be better off in 3rd with your foot a little on the throttle than in 5th with your foot a lot on the throttle trying to keep it from stalling.
  9. Stiff rear soft front, tracking needs to be spot on too, negative camber is also useful., Good tyres are also a must. If you've got all these, then you come to Jamie's article on driving technique.
  10. Because you can't get the gas for Celicas of that age, you need to have it all converted or use the supposed replacement gas that will actually eat the seals and when that's happened you have no choice but to convert. Plus spending £50 doesn't make it worth £50 more. That's a good example, and I'd expect that to go for good money, should clear the £1k barrier easily but you never know on ebay.
  11. Nothing really works to traina cat. I was getting fed up of ours constantly sleeping on the kitchen worktop, tried everything, pepper, spraying with water everytime i caught her up there. Nothing ever worked with that little sod. So I got a dog. cat has never been seen since.
  12. That is lean according to the lambda reading, so could be a hole in the exhaust sucking in fresh air, but Co being high points to a Cat problem. So could well be both.
  13. Shouldn't deteriorate at all, have a closer isnpection see if yo ucan see exactly where it's arcing, could have got pinched during some component removal and split the silicone possibly... The reason most people don't like magnecors is the ends are crap and don't like being taken on and pff a lot,so if you'r fitting thyem fit with iridium plugs and leave alone for good
  14. Mine Arrived today, looking good! I have a buyer for The Celica too - hopefully seeing it in there will help jog the sale on a little
  15. Tis standard Gen 5 grey, just a bright day! There are a few pics floating round, best ones in here. I went down the harbour to take some arty ones ofit with it's new wheels and all shiny, but the camera batteries died and that was the ebst one! Never mind, there'll be plenty of time for that!
  16. I think it's fair to say that most of us look downright shady. Here's the only time you'll see me in a suit: And much more improatntly the car:
