  1. i think Ive seen that engine somewhere before........ cant quite think
  2. I did wonder that, but I figured maybe it was just that part that was broken Now this would have been a really good time to put up a pic of my kick arse newly wrapped side vent.................... but I aint got a photo of it yet :(
  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130754112657?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 2 of these, very happy esp at the price
  4. Dont get age of car confussed with date of first reg, Biggys breaker was on an "M" plate, nearly two years after they stopped making them. It was prob sat around the back of Mr Ts collecting dust until somebody handed over some cash for the first time to buy it. Also I bet there are gen 5s on here registered before our 4 and dont worry about it, Mr T never made a torque converter (auto version of a clutch) that was made to fit a gen 6 import manual engine to a gen 5 UK auto gearbox
  5. Correct, like I said I doubt a Toyota dealership would know what day she came out the factory. (unless you find the original plate out and phone one in japan) While if you had a UK one they could tell you when and where it was made prob down to the second, and prob tell you the name of the guy that parked it im Mr Ts carpark
  6. yes your first reg date is well into gen 7 turf either 1999 or 2000 from memory
  7. God knows, its an import I doubt Mr T knows when it came out the factory  Thats why me n Biggy typed in 1991, that way you know your gunna get a prefacelift gen 5 part. 1990 crosses into gen 4 turf (which you dont want coz their gearboxes are tiny compared to the 5s) and 1992 crosses into facelift gen 5 (and who the hell knows what going on with those things)
  8. http://www.carparts4...3d27a5fe So unless anybody has any other ideas Im looking at this bad boy??? I bet that price is plus VAT It did yesterday edit, amazing it does include VAT
  9. Welcome to the world of imports  Its even worse trying to get one insured "Its a GTR" "You meen the GT-16?" "No a GTR" "What? oh errrr sorry sir we dont cover that vehicle"
  10. Your brake tank isnt in a different place, its just a slightly diffent lay out as your car was never ment to have ABS, mine on the other hand was ment to have it until it got Bekked Edit i think the propper name would be master cylinder
  11. Not always its I) an import and II) personal plate, bad combo when looking for parts. Every site I ever whent on for my Skyline told me it was a 4WD GT-R twin turbo, I wish!!!!!
  12. I cant see why an import clutch would be different to a UK one. Prob just most sites poo themselfs when you mention imports.
  13. http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/c/Toyota_Celica_2.0_1991/p/car-parts/car-transmission/clutch-and-associated-parts/clutch-kit/?641821410&1&bb0f0021197ea7ec919aa97f7ed501153d27a5fe&000069 So this one then???
  14. Errr yes mines a 91 shell, 96 engine and 92 box
  15. I typed in 1991 so site didnt confuse it wid the gen 4
  16. Coz shes pushing close on to 400BHP........ Ok the real answer to that question is all the standard clutches dont deliver to IOW http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/c/Toyota_Celica_2.0_1991/p/car-parts/car-transmission/clutch-and-associated-parts/clutch-kit/?641820190&1&c23e8f95f93ff5f40b100726078fe5f0f3822da6&000069 ????
  17. Well yes thats the first time Ive had the what I think is the cluch release bearing noise. You can hear the engine wanting to go, the transmition just wont let it, and it doesnt thump you in the back when aggressively changing up like it should. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HIGH-PERFROMANCE-UPRATED-SPORTS-CLUTCH-KIT-TOYOTA-CELICA-2-0-GTI-1992-1999-ST182-/300763753492?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4606eaac14 your thoughts please guys?????
