  2. normally im one of life bastards who are always cheerfull , not so today as i sit here waiting for a knock on the door im counting the minutes to the car being collected , its bye bye carlos sainz day not happy , nowt to smile about , im so going to nag this fooker into treating it nice
  3. as far as i know you can jack up , remove wheel , aline the remainder of the stud next to a cutout behind the hub and belt the bastard out , then £2 from toyota buys you a new stud
  4. note the red bit from the rad , thats the 7mm the 4 mm , this stuff is tough as a bastard , note the size of the expansion , it wasnt easy to fit due to wall size , no collapsing here
  5. first time i used a corp member here , sorry cant remember who , second someone on ebay , cant remember who third then http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130266837361 have a gander at the items for sale to see whats what theres also a corp member here asking something like 20 quid for a set for you so its a thought
  6. other thing is the disk may be bigger , if i remember correctly on my last beams they looked bigger compared to the disks i had on my previous car cant be sure on this though!
  7. me ? tent ( double skinned as a minimum ) airbed and pump ( a double ) sleeping bag or rob the bedding from home , bring pillows either way lantern ( couple of pound shop specials do the job ) cooker plus fuel , presently using/recommend £12 case from wilkinsons , dont forget to get canisters camping set , from 15 quid , you get plates , pots , a kettle , knifes and forks everything you need , mines a picnic hamper with a cooking set in it cool box , £8 from asda at the moment decent chair ( £15) camping table ( £20 asda ) thats all the rest you rape from home
  8. theres a 2001 gt4 around , sadly because of its year its 400 quid a year to tax , i think it was a late register the car on ebay , like the wings , want to burn it for that spoiler
  9. yep , gen 5 6 and 7 are all interchangeable
  10. are you lost in wales ?

its too quiet when your not around

  11. just an observation but ive noticed gen 6 cars always had dents in the wings , ive had 3 6`s and every friggin car had a crumpled drivers wing , our kid has had 2 and both cars had been wing warriors is it just me ?
  12. the cabs has a lightened fly ( 13 pounds i think but you can go as low as 8 ) plus a stupidly expensive clutch the difference is being completely honest massive , ask our kid , he stalled it 5 times before managing to pull away there is a lack of lowdown torque that you normally get , it allows the car to stall very easly indeed , also the clutch is now little more that a switch with zero bite at all , to pull off you basically rev it a bit and drop the bastard to go , however the car revs so much freely as it hasnt got a soddin great big lump to spin up anymore , its more responsive and happier to be abused , theres less engine breaking and an all round sportier feel , i cant recommend it enough to the point if i had run out of ideas and jobs on the beams i would get it changed
  13. would would miss lights changing admiring that real display of woodiness , its a beauty no plastic trees were harmed in the posting of this thread
  14. half a litre would easily do you have a good read of this , its long winded but covers every point , theres lots of stuff that can be ignored or argued over such as a respirator , i either use a mask or do it outdoors moving the item in to dry http://freespace.virgin.net/tommy.sandham/twopack.htm the last thing i sprayed was the spliters as in the picture
  15. i didnt want to say so i guess i can now £20.80 for half a litre fella , the colour match is perfect , i will simply add a dab of hardener and a decent splash of thinners and bang it through my gun to get a 95% perfect finish , it may seem pricey put its little more than the cost of a tin of spray and a touch up pen but the finish will be miles better , if you can go this route every time
  16. if you can find a local car spraying place they may make up a can for you , normally costs between 8-12 quid local car parts shop is another source
  17. poor bastard ill be interested to see what the reserve turns out to be , should have been 200 quid i would have thought , the lad would do alot better to break it not that he hasnt broken it enough already
  18. lolololololololol thats gunna need a pit crew to pop to asda
  19. cheers mucka , another great file for the external hard-drive , you sir are a bloody hero didnt alan have 1 fitted at some point ? if not then oops and sorry alan for unleashing a fed-up ian on you
  20. thanks , the instructions arnt listed for a year or gen only type of engine , it says all toyotas so !!!!! just had a looksee and cant find it any chance you could post it up again please , cheers
  21. after carefully considering the vrs style limitations of a hatchback intertwined with the expectations of toyotas customers reflected across its range id say that yes indeed , it does lick balls ,,,, but then i like small fast cars and if someone bodged a decent engine into the hole id be a happy bunny
  22. Mani kindly sent me a file , its not exactly clear with lots of different pin outs for different models , these are the only pages needed from what i can make out , i hope mani doesnt mind me posting this up
  23. yep the engine is strapped into a frame , a water brake is then attached ( not listed above strangely ) and the engine is run , there is a known amount of power created based on the compression , volume of fuel , type of fuel and swept volume , an engine is then stripped of its components gradually to work out lost power , then going on the frigidity of the components some are kept and some are not , it may be interesting to some that heat accounts for a 33% loss of all potential power from an engine as someone whos car lost torque not made more when revved based on a dyno i think the only place dynos really have are to create a base figure from which to tune your car , if you go into buying a run expecting impeccable service plus toyota and the dyno to be accurate your in for not a nice surprise , manufacturers bullshit the public , dynos read differently depending on vrs factors would be nice to have some sort of standardization
  24. mines battery powered so a hybrid , so mines a vvti with hybrid power , must be , toyota make the prius and mines got a battery = elec powered thanks to having a battery mine also does a hundred million miles an hour ,,,,, well it kept up with my mates suburururururururi , i would have gone faster but my eyes fell out
