    Wow 345k - that's something to aim for. I have a warehouse full if spares but I never need them!

    No repairs, no mechanical failures- just the pas cooler pipe, I bought it on 20,000 miles and I'm still on original clutch and exhaust. I built another engine when I hit 150,000 but it's not been fitted yet as the original engine is still going strong.

    140,000 that's barely run in, 207,000 and never missed a beat and I think I've got plenty of life still and I've got big plans for it still .

    Yeah they all seem to crack in the same place - I think to prevent it, the mount needs a bit more rubber in it so that it can move with the engine vibration

    make sure you put it on retention before mot/tax is up - cant be removed otherwise

    wishbone would be my first guess, then leg, then hub, then subframe - very hard to see if its marginally out and sometimes easier to change 1st 3 in one go from good car

    It will be ok, I've used my 7 too pull cars with seized brakes up the 1 in 3 incline for my unit and it's stunk but once cooled down been ok. 207,000 miles and original clutch

    customs and vat plus handling charge - will add about 30 -50 % to the price you pay (calculated on total price ie wheels and shipping) You will probably find its not worth it

    If you buy a dab radio the dab aerial sticks to the front of Windscreen, get a bodyshop to fill and flat the hole if you don't like it, expensive option though.

    Ive run winter tyres during the summer and as above they have been better than some of the real budget ones that I have used

    On front wheel drive cars you might get away with normal tyres but rwd is another story

    If the car is dangerous, the tester can class it as being unsafe after which point you cannot drive the car at all, ie not even home, used to be a box on the bottom of the old failure sheet before computerisation , can't remember the exact details
