  1. They look suspiciously like OE Rims to me..in which case they're 16".
  2. That's right Kate, the safest bet is to buy from Mr T with CCUK discount, even then they'll have to be sourced from Toyota Parts HQ in Belgium.
  3. They're known as Fondmetal Tech5 and cost ITRO £170 each from Mr T. Are you looking for one or a set of four?
  4. I've read the T1R is being superseded with the T1-Sport Phil, so if you needed to replace just one T1R in the future..you could have a problem. The Falken ZE912 aren't expensive, but they grip better when they have some heat in them.
  5. Good post, Dan. I know we don't always agree, but on this occasion you're spot-on IMO.
  6. Camskill are offering the Falken ZE912 in 205/45/17 at £63 a corner, so that would come to around £300 once you've paid to have them fitted. The Ziex also has the same 88W rating as the Pirelli tyres that were fitted as OE on the Gen 7. As the 912 is not a directional tread pattern, they can be swopped from side to side to even out tyre wear. HTH
  7. Liam, I'd like to politely request you do a little more research on suitable Gen 7 tyre profiles. 205/45/17 is the OE size as fitted by Toyota to all 17" Rims, but being the rarest size..tend to be the most expensive of the three. 215/45/17 has a slightly larger rolling radius than 205/45 and will offer a little more ride comfort and Rim protection at the expense of acceleration (but hardly noticeable). 215/40/17 will give the best acceleration of the three, but the least ride comfort and fuel consumption due to the smaller rolling radius over 205/45. After trying all three sizes on my 140, I'm currently running 215/40 front, 215/45 rear on 7J Rims. HTH
  8. Here's a link to someone who was asking the same question just the other day My link
  9. A bit more info. would be useful, Razor. Can you remove one of the Wheels to check on the inside for the Rim width?. It should read something like 7J, 7.5J or 8J. If it's 7J, you can fit 205 or 215 with a 45 profile, 7.5 or 8J and you'll need to go to 215/45/17. Please AVOID budget tyres. As for your Rim search, look for a PCD of 5 x 100, a 7J width, with an ET/Offset of 35 to 39. HTH
  10. Yup, I noticed that too. Has anyone spotted the Catalytic Converter?, I've studied the pics. and can't see it on the "black" paintwork anywhere
  11. Not enough room under the bonnet I believe.
  12. Some relevant points here and a short Vid. Clicky
  13. Yes, the expensive ones. Everyone can post up.."I've got these and they're awesome", but you really do get what you pay for re rubber. PS Sincere apologies for using the word "awesome", i'm guilty of spending too much time on CCUK
  14. Tell her to avoid French crap and buy British. An MG TF 1.6 would be much more fun with fully comp. insurance just over £100 inc. agreed value and breakdown cover.
  15. 205/40/17 are a bit too small, Liam. Stick to either 215/40, 205/45, or 215/45.
  16. Do you want two sizes wider than OE because you have 8J Rims? 225/40/17 is very close to the stock rolling radius so you'll get your acceleration back, but I thought tyres were not readily available in that size
  17. No, that's a 190 with the optional Sport Pack. There can't be more than a handful of 190's in the country that are under eight years old, so you're going to struggle to find one. That might not be a bad thing though Dan, as chuccy over four years is never a good idea. Much better to save this year and get a face lift T Sport next year when the prices have dropped further and you can afford the repayments over three years max.
  18. I believe a few members have used these people.. paints4u
  19. That's very true. Mr T may still be able source some from the Parts H.Q. in Belgium, but it will be over £300 for a pair.
