  1. it's not a toyota panel gaps are too good
  2. when i changed my clutch one of the pressure plate torque bolts was seized and rounded a bit of persuasion using a hammer and a larger torque socket and it came out took 5-10mins of faffing but it worked would have thought it would be even easier to get nipple out of caliper you don't even need to drill it it has the hole in it already. plus if you leave it attached to the car the allen socket should hammer in easy
  3. come to mine i will help you remove them i am on border though live at the edge of woodhead pass near holmfirth up to you offers there if your interested the bleed nipple can you not hammer a allen or torque socket in to the hole in the center????
  4. best for the budget conscious are uniroyal rainsport 2's best all round tyre michelin pilot sport 3's as has been said you get what you pay for!
  5. Go to asda or morrisons. In the house hold cleaning section where all the cleaning cloths and sponges are they have wire ribbon sponges buy them they are cheap u usually get 2 in a pack use this with soapy water to get all black crap off the buff it up using autosol or metal polish DO NOT USE BRILLO PADS
  6. a hpi check can't guarantee the mileage it has been proven many times that they have got it wrong best way is check the car out will be pretty obvious if the mileage is correct seat wear and many other things to look for oh mine had 2 previous owners with 22k on the clock at 4 years of age the service history will be your best bet,for example Audi keep the records of all the work carried out at there dealerships so you can ring up and ask for a printout of all the work done to the obviously they record the mileage when carrying out any work HTH
  7. Not a fan of insane colours on wheels Nothing wrong with white on white just needs to be same shade! You can bring a colour in by using decals on the spokes or painting your calipers! Much better look in my opinion But each to their own it's your car make it how you want it
  8. Interesting read this thread so far. I respect any make of car on the road but as has been said toyota have gone severly down hill in the last 5years.
  9. Looks like the exact same machine that has left me with both my rear tyres wearing on the outsides! I had it done at challenger tyres in sheffield they charge £39 for first adjustment and £18 for any further ones Decent setup but the computor dont know how to set up a quattro A3! Lol People always get tracking and 4 point wheel alignment mixed up!
  10. hmmm can't say i agree with this one just think how much it costs the NHS to treat the effects of smoking even the effects of PASSIVE smoking! oh if someone tried to smoke in my car the lit fag would get out out in their eyeball!
  11. no because you posted them on a PUBLIC forum!
  12. Think 6k is highest I have pushed mine! Mine rarely sees over 3.5k on a normal drive
  13. it has been further filtered therefor the impurities have been removed. yeah i have a v-power card so i get a little bit of cash back every other month which is a bonus you get a rather interesting magazine every other month which has some interesting reads in it oh hypercat "Most wheel allignments don't cover camber, toe etc...where did you get it done? Fingers crossed it wasn't Kwik Fit!" so i must have got you mixed up
  14. this is someone who don't the know the difference between wheel alignment and tracking telling me this!
  15. the whole point of using V-POWER which was not even included in that test is it contains cleaning agents! the extra mpg is mainly a result of this as it is a much purer fuel. i will use nothing else only bp ultimate if i am really really desperate but may car even states on the fuel cap 97-98ron fuel MUST be used
  16. surely the CF bonnets have a decent coating of lacquer for UV protection? if so you should be able to treat it the same as your paintwork
  17. get a move on Simon it looks like a good one!
  18. if you wanna keep red but have metalic paint rather than the flat chilli red google garnet red you will like.
  19. i know this may be a daft question but have you measured the diff in width between the two??? as i say could just be the better quality tyres being thicker?
  20. is it more the sidewall or the shoulder that's rubbing??? strange that as with them being a higher load rating i would have thought they would be more likely to rub rather than the avon which will have more flex. could just be that the better quality tyres the avon and goodridge have thicker sidewalls?
  21. doh i dint read it at first! right what load rating are the tyres? as one could have thicker shoulders IE rim protectors
  22. paul gtt had one send him a pm they wont be cheap to insure bet you could insure a 8L S3 for a similar price!
  23. as Dan has said it really is no bragging points on your turf if they don't know the road. i can catch up most cars in my 1.5dci kangoo van over the strines but this is only because i know the road very well change it to a track situation and a 1 ltr yaris would whoop my ass!
