gen7nnb
As some of you may have seen, I resprayed the lip on the car yesterday. My question is, since I have some spray paint left over, I am tempted to spray my hood scoop also. It would be in satin black. What do you reckon to the idea? Devious
Do you have enough spray to properly cover the scoop? Soooo many times have I seen a job go wrong cos people have run out and bought another can (same colour, different batch) and it doesn't look right. But if you've got enough, hell, go for it. gen7nnb
Yeh, I think so. Hardly used any doing the lip yesterday and it's a pretty big can! Trying to find pics of other lagoon blues with black scoop with no luck yet!
Devious
Worst comes to the worst, just sand it back and paint it blue!
gen7nnb
True, the plan was to carbon wrap it at some point. Sod it, I'll give it a go! Cheers

gen7nnb
Well, I've put a good few coats on, still a little left in the can. Just waiting for it to dry and I'll have a go at wet sanding and polishing later or tomorrow!

shaungt4
Ye as above mate let it harden off first
gen7nnb
Yeh, will wait for it to harden, although it is actually touch try already, even after 5 coats. but mustn't get tempted to rush it. I thought of that Carla but with limited time, I had to make the decision fairly quickly, but at the mo, it looks pretty cool. If I do polish it, it's unlikely to actually be shiny is it, being satin.
shaungt4
It will have a bit of a shine to a degree If you want a shine put a few clear coats on tomorrow then wet and dry + polish Personally i would have a satin look
gen7nnb
Yeh satin is what I'm after as that is what the lip I sprayed yesterday is! But I didn't polish that to be fair. Pics or it never happened. Right, proof that this is taking place. Painted, awaiting wet sanding and polish.
