Gimba
I was going to go to local Toyota for my full service, but online they start from £230 ... and that's just the sart from :| Anyone in Essex that knows a good place to go to? I'm not expecting cheap as chips, but slightly cheaper is better than nothing and no, I'm not doing it myself, I want a garage to do it before anyone asks Edited July 4, 2012 by Gimba
Jen7190
If you don't mind travelling, there is a Toyota specialist in Heybridge, called Greenwell's that might be able to do it for you, don't know how much they will cost but at least you know the car will be in good hands. sr666
Personally I wouldn't take it to any mainstream garages. I've always found that the smaller garages are cheaper and usually pretty good to go to because they want your business. You can usually gauge what garages are like by the area they're in too. I've always used smaller garages and never had any problems. I'd imagine you could find it for about £150 compared to the toyota price you've shown I'd try here too http://am-motorsltd.co.uk/ http://www.carrepairsromford.co.uk/ Edited July 1, 2012 by sr666

Jen7190
Yeah, that's the place. They certainly know there stuff and very friendly in there. Even if you didn't get a service done there I would still recommend them if you needed anything else done
johnyboy1976
Having spent nearly 8 years working for a Toyota main agent there is no way on earth id trust any of those fucking half wits with my car. Might not be so bad with a more mainstream car like a gen 7 but ive seen too many things go on and id go with the mark 3 option as he is a trusted and well respected member on here who knows his onions. Gimba
So I quote from a place at £340, but he phoned back and said if it's been serviced fully I wont need to go for the expensive option, he said I'd just need "option B" which is this http://www.ukcarserv...L-i-Service.htm For £207, is that a good price or should I just do it myself? main reason I want to go to a garage is to get the stamp in the book, keep all documents/receipts for when I sell the car(not any time soon) Edited July 4, 2012 by Gimba
badj
I bought an oil filter and oil from eurocarparts for about £30, the only extra you'd get for your £207 is an air filter and a general check up - if you're happy with the condition of the car I can't see that the £170 would be worth it and I doubt it'd add £170 to the value of the car. Thats my 2p's worth, but generally because I'm sufficiently qualified and know, as previously discussed, what main dealers are like from my younger days (i.e. the mechanics or 'techs' aren't OEM quality lol)
