james.peebles
Hi guys - was racing a motor off a set of traffic lights at the weekend, built up the revs, let the clutch out and..... pedal stuck to the floor and wouldnt shift :-/ took it out of gear and tried again, same result. but when I drove the car off normally I had absolutely no issues whatsoever (apart from an obvious smell of burning clutch!). Any ideas? is this just a case of me asking to much from the clutch? Gear change in general seems to be dodgy when putting any kind of duress on the car but totally fine if im being gentle with it. HELP!!!!!
c_jnz
I think I have read about this before on the OC and it turned out to be the clutch master/slave cylinder. Have a look in the engine bay its attached to the bulk head and has the fluid reservoir ontop see if the rubber boots are intact not leaking fluid.
