robbiemcvee
I need to read the codes from my ECU. Its on a JDM TRD Sport-M. Ive tried the elm327 i have and it sends back that the ECU is not ODBII compliant. Ive had a look around the net and cant find what protocol or what can read the ECU. I've phoned my local Toyota garage and they want £45 +VAT to read it.. which is crazy. Does anyone know how i can extract errors from the ECU? thanks all
Jen7190
I have the same problem with my JDM. When the 'LIFT' went in my car, and after the lift bolts were changed and it still didn't work, I tried many readers for it not too work. I then went to a toyota specialist who managed to successfully read the code with their import reader for £20. Maybe go to a garage that specializes in Japanese import cars, as toyota usually use the british ODB readers which wont work. I hope this has been some help? Jen7190
I went to greenwells in Essex, they are really good, and charge reasonable. They also said if it doesn't read then they dont charge. I'll try and get you a number if your interested in going to them

Jen7190
The number to call is 01621 850024. I found them very friendly and knowledgeable. They have several import readers, so will try each one to get the code.
